Described herein are acoustical panels, comprising: a substrate; a non-woven veil having an airflow resistance of greater than 45 mks rayls, comprising: from about 20 wt. % to about 60 wt. % glass fibers; from about 40 wt. % to about 80 wt. % of a filler; and from about 110 dry g/m2 to about 135 dry g/m2 of a coating. Methods of making and using the panels are also described.
摘要:
Disclosed are a sound absorbing fabric with improved thermal insulation, and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein an inorganic aerogel powder and a thermosetting binder resin are impregnated into a non-woven fabric made of a heat-resistant fiber, wherein the inorganic aerogel powder has a surface modified by a surfactant to be uniformly mixed with and dispersed in a binder resin, thereby forming the sufficient number of micro cavities inside the non-woven fabric and increasing dispersibility of the inorganic aerogel powder, and thus heat resistance, sound absorbing and sound insulating properties, and thermal insulation properties can be significantly improved.

Monolithic gravity-laid inorganic fiber webs that are greater than about 5 cm in thickness are disclosed. Methods of making and using such webs are also disclosed. The gravity-laying process comprises mechanically separating inorganic fibers and collecting the fibers as a monolithic thick web, and may comprise blending of multiple types of inorganic fibers and/or blending of inorganic particulate additives with the fibers.
