Abstract:
A performance analysis system analyzes the performance of affiliate sites that provide links to specific items in an electronic catalog, and identifies catalog items that can be listed by such affiliate web sites to improve performance. An association mining component analyzes transaction data attributable to specific categories or types of affiliate web sites to identify items that are frequently purchased in combination by users of such sites. The detected item associations are used to evaluate, for a given affiliate site, whether significant disparities exist between the expected and actual sales quantities of specific items. The results of the analysis are incorporated into affiliate-specific performance reports, which may include specific recommendations for improving performance. The disclosed methods may also be used to analyze the performance of, and provide recommendations to, online sellers within an online mall, online marketplace, or online auction system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to formulations of concentrated azalide antibiotics and methods for making and using them. Specifically, the invention relates to a method of treating an infection comprising administering to a patient in need thereof, an effective amount of a concentrated aqueous azalide antibiotic formulation made according to the method comprising dissolving an azalide antibiotic in an aqueous solution comprising a strong acid. The invention also relates to methods for making concentrated aqueous azalide antibiotic formulations for use in pulmonary infection, a nasopharyngeal infection, an otic infection, an ocular infection, a dermal or a vaginal infection. The invention also relates to concentrated aqueous azalide antibiotic formulations made by dissolving an azalide antibiotic in an aqueous solution comprising a strong acid.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for performing traffic admission control in a Differentiated Services (DiffServ) network environment. According to one embodiment, a predetermined portion of available bandwidth between a first network device and a second network device is reserved as a real-time bandwidth pool for real-time communication sessions among users of a first group of terminals associated with the first network device and a second group of terminals associated with the second network device, the real-time bandwidth pool corresponding to estimated bandwidth remaining available on a path through a Differentiated Services (DiffServ) network interposed between the first group of terminals and the second group of terminals. Thereafter, the real-time bandwidth pool is shared among multiple real-time communication sessions involving terminals of the first and second groups of terminals by selectively admitting application sessions based upon currently available resources in the real-time bandwidth pool.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for applying both profile and user customizations to an application user interface are provided. Profile customizations, created for a specialized use or field, are adapted to an application user interface, which has command-menu-toolbar contributions from various add-in modules. The user has access to the customizations through a user interface. Then, as a user is customizing the application, through commands, toolbars, and menus, the user customizations are tagged. A priority and group is assigned to each customization to allow for relative positioning of each customization. The difference between the user's final desired state and a reset state is computed. This difference computation is used to track the changes made to the application and to assist in resets of the customizations.
Abstract:
A system and method of real-time interconnect billing to facilitate invoicing and reconciliation between interconnected communication and service providers. The fully customizable, scalable, and network-based system rates and monitors costs, incorporates agreements between interconnected providers, invoices, bills, and reconciles to establish an accurate and cost-effective accounting of provider revenues and costs. The system is able to communicate with devices, networks, and interconnect providers to obtain, provide and exchange billing information and payments. The system updates subscriber accounts and alerts the home provider, subscribers, interconnect providers and users of these updates.
Abstract:
A system that integrates the services offered by providers in the wireless communication industry. The system provides a seamless, efficient and realtime way to connect wireless communication services with other associated services, such as billing and rating engines. Additionally, the system is fully customizable and applicable with general industry standards. The system is also expandable and upgradable without the need to replace the overall infrastructure of the provider. The system, therefore, reduces the administrative costs related to billing and reduces the capital costs related to upgrading and maintaining the core infrastructure of the provider.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the development of a novel multiutility vigorously growing robust mint plant ‘Ganga’ of Mentha spicata L. var. viridis producing essential oil exhibiting anti-insect and anti-microbial activities and useful for agrochemical and pharmaceutical purposes.
Abstract:
An improved light beam generation and focusing device (15, 50) has a light source (16, 51) constructed and arranged to emit at least one beam of light (20), and a lens assembly (17, 19, 56) constructed and arranged to focus the at least one beam of light on a surface plane. The device is constructed and arranged to sequentially direct the at least one beam of light to at least two spaced locations (21, 21′) on the surface plane. The lens assembly comprises a collimating lens (17), and a spaced focusing lens (19).
Abstract:
An alignment device and related systems and methods for aligning at least one apparatus with respect to a surface of a tissue. The alignment device comprises a tissue interface member suitable for positioning on the surface of the tissue and mating with the apparatus to maintain alignment of the apparatus during an operation of the apparatus. The alignment device is useful to align various apparatus that are part of a continuous analyte monitoring system.
