    Abstract: A single-screw extruder (100), and a method. The extruder (100) comprises—a cylindrical rotor member (1) having diameter (D) and length (L) and comprising a feeding zone (14), —the rotor member (1) arranged in a barrel (2), —the cylindrical surface of the rotor member (1) carrying cavity/cavities and/or projection(s) (5) arranged in helically extending rows, —the helically extending row(s) of the rotor member (1) having a pitch (P) and depth (d) in the feeding zone (14) of the rotor member, and the extruder (100) further comprising a drive system (4) for the rotation of the rotor member (1) in the barrel (2). The relation of the depth (d) to the diameter (D) of the rotor member, i.e. d:D, is not more than 1:20, and the relation of the pitch (P) of the rotor member to the diameter (D) of the rotor member, i.e. P:D, is not more than 1:4.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an expression system for a eukaryotic host, which comprises 1) an expression cassette comprising a core promoter, said core promoter controlling the expression of a DNA sequence encoding a synthetic transcription factor (sTF), and 2) one or more expression cassettes each comprising a DNA sequence encoding a desired product operably linked to a synthetic promoter, said synthetic promoter comprising a core promoter, and sTF-specific binding sites upstream of the core promoter.     Abstract: A processor architecture arrangement for emulated shared memory (ESM) architectures, comprises a number of, preferably a plurality of, multi-threaded processors each provided with interleaved inter-thread pipeline, wherein the pipeline comprises a plurality of functional units arranged in series for executing arithmetic, logical and optionally further operations on data, wherein one or more functional units of lower latency are positioned prior to the memory access segment in said pipeline and one or more long latency units (LLU) for executing more complex operations associated with longer latency are positioned operatively in parallel with the memory access segment. In some embodiments, the pipeline may contain multiple branches in parallel with the memory access segment, each branch containing at least one long latency unit.
