    摘要: An LCD panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, alignment protrusions and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes pixel units arranged in an array. Each of the pixel units has at least one reflection area and one transmittance area. The first substrate has concaves in the reflection areas. The second substrate is above the first substrate. The first substrate or the second substrate has at least one padding layer in the reflection area. The alignment protrusions having approximately the same height are disposed on the second substrate and located in centers of each of the reflections and the transmittance areas. In the reflection area, a group of the alignment protrusions are in the concaves to keep a gap from the first substrate. The other group of the alignment protrusions outside of the concaves contact with the first substrate directly.

    摘要: A multi-domain liquid crystal display (LCD) including an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate, an electric field shielding layer, and a liquid crystal layer is provided. The active device array substrate has a plurality of pixels, wherein each pixel has a pixel electrode. The opposite substrate has a common electrode disposed between the opposite substrate and the active device array substrate. The electric field shielding layer is disposed on a part of each pixel electrode. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate. The liquid crystal layer corresponding to each pixel is divided into a low-voltage domain and a high-voltage domain having the same cell gap, wherein the position of the electric field shielding layer is corresponding to the position of the low-voltage domain. Color shift of the multi-domain LCD is improved effectively at oblique viewing angles.

    摘要: A mounting base includes two fixing plates movably connected to each other via a four-bar mechanism, which consist of four fixing arms and is controllable via an adjusting rod to reduce one diagonal thereof, so that the two fixing plates located at two opposite ends of the other diagonal of the four-bar mechanism are moved outward to firmly press against two opposite inner wall surfaces of a swimming pool gutter, enabling the mounting base to be conveniently and safely fixed to any desired point along a swimming pool perimeter without spoiling the swimming pool. A carrier plate is associated with the adjusting rod for a water activity facility to mount thereon. A second carrier plate perpendicular to the first carrier plate may be associated with the fixing plates via another two pivotally connected fixing arms, so that the mounting base is usable in two different directions.

A substrate having at least one first pixel region and one second pixel region is provided, in which the first and second pixel regions have a reflector thereon, respectively, and the first pixel region is adjacent to the second pixel region. A second pattern is formed on the reflector on the second pixel region, in which the second pattern is formed by dividing the first pattern into at least two pattern regions according to a predetermined direction and rearranging the pattern regions.

    摘要: The pixel in a transflective color LCD panel of the present invention has an additional sub-pixel area. The pixel is divided into three or more color sub-pixels in R, G, B and at least one sub-pixel M. Each of the color sub-pixels is divided into a transmission area and a reflection area to display color image data. The sub-pixel M can be entirely reflective or partially reflective for displaying a further image data. Two or more algorithms are used to compute the further image data based on the color image data. A selector is used to select one of the algorithms for displaying the further image data. The algorithm selection can be used by a user or automatically selected according to the brightness of ambient light. The transflective LCD panel can be used in a reflective mode when the ambient light reaches a brightness level.

    摘要: A three-dimensional (3D) display system includes a liquid crystal display and a directional backlight module. The backlight module disposed behind the liquid crystal display includes a light-guide plate, a focusing layer, a left backlight source, a right backlight source, and a first V-shaped micro-grooved and a second V-shaped micro-grooved structures of the light-guide plate. The focusing layer is disposed between the light-guide plate and the liquid crystal display. The 3D display method is to instantly switch on and off the left and the right backlight sources to alternately emit the light from the left side and right side of light-guide plate. By means of the first and the second V-shaped micro-grooved structure, the light transmitted from the light-guide plate is focused by the focusing layer within a particular range of angles and passing through the liquid crystal layer for being alternately projected to form a 3D image.
