摘要： An image forming apparatus in accordance with the present invention is provided with a unit composed of members such as a photoreceptor drum and an optical system, the unit being attachably and detachably provided with respect to the image forming apparatus main body. With the arrangement, the replacement of the photoreceptor drum can be made at the user's end with ease. It is not necessary to carry out fine adjustments at the user's end for positioning the photoreceptor drum and optical system with respect to the image forming apparatus main body. Thus, professional skill is not required for the replacement of the photoreceptor drum, thereby resulting in that the operations such as maintenance can be effectively made. It is preferable that a cleaner is further provided for removing any contaminated materials adhering to the inner surface of the photoreceptor drum. With the cleaner, the contaminated materials can be removed from the inner surface of the photoreceptor drum, thereby avoiding that the exposure of the photoreceptor drum is not appropriately carried out.

摘要： The present invention provides in a preferred embodiment a developer container having a supply and discharge shaft which is driven and rotated in a direction by a supply and discharge shaft motor, a supply screw mounted on one of the ends of the supply and discharge shaft for bringing unused developer in a developer supply container into a developer container, and a discharge screw mounted on the other end of the supply and discharge shaft for discharging the developer in the developer container through a developer discharge opening. With this structure, the ratio of replacing old developer with new developer in the developer container is controlled in the desired manner, and the charging property of the developer is maintained substantially uniform. Additionally, since the replacement efficiency of the developer is improved, the consumption of the developer is reduced. Moreover, even when a copying machine is tilted, a large amount of developer is unlikely to be discharged.

摘要： A method for joining two ceramic sintered bodies with a joining layer. A magnesium layer is deposited on the ceramic sintered bodies to form a magnesium nitride layer. The joining layer has a component in common with a base component of the ceramic sintered bodies. The laminate is heat treated under conditions that convert the joining layer into a material substantially identical to that of the ceramic sintered bodies, whereby a homogeneous strong laminate results. The ceramic sintered body may be either an oxide, carbide or nitride. The joining layer is a metal corresponding to the base material of the ceramic sintered bodies. After joining, the joining layer is then nitrided. The resulting laminate has improved strength, and heat and corrosion resistance properties.

摘要： An overcharge preventive device for an automotive battery charging circuit comprises an odorant sensor 6 for detecting the amount of gas generated from the battery 1 during charging (FIG. 3). A detector circuit 7 generates an overcharge detection signal when the amount of gas exceeds a predetermined level. In response thereto, the display or monitor lamp 8 displays the overcharged state, and the interruptor circuit 9 separates the alternator 5 from the battery 1. Alternatively, when the automobile has an audio device such as radio, a voltage detector 19 detects the voltage across the load 4 and outputs a signal when the voltage exceeds a predetermined level, an alarm signal generator 20 generating an audio signal in response to the output signal of the voltage detector 19, such that an alarm sound or voice is produced by a loudspeaker 17 via the amplifier 16 (FIG. 4).
