    摘要: A method for applying a plural-layer coating to the outside of a liquid container to act as an anti-leakage barrier in the event of a penetration wound occurring in the container resulting from a penetrating projectile strike, such as a bullet strike. This method includes (a) forming on the outside of such a container, a first layer optimized for providing an elastomeric wound-closure response, (b) forming on the outside of this first layer a second layer optimized for providing combined elastomeric and liquid-imbibing wound-closure responses, and (c) forming on the outside of such a second layer a third, layer optimized in the same manner as the first layer.

    摘要: A Chromium VI-free coating composition comprises a binder and a corrosion inhibitor in a solvent, wherein the binder comprises a silicate and an organic titanate, and the corrosion inhibitor comprises aluminium particles and zinc particles preferably flakes. The composition may also comprise an anti-corrosion additive which comprises a metal phosphate, a lubricant which comprises a polyolefin wax, and/or a thickener. The coating composition is useful for coating substrates such as nuts, bolts and other fasteners, door, bonnet and boot lock parts, hinges, door stoppers, window guides, seat belt components, brake rotors and drums, and other transportation industry related parts.

    摘要: The present invention provides a process of a forming multilayer coating film characterized by that in a process of forming a multilayer coating film by successively coating with an undercoat paint (A), an intermediate paint (B) and a topcoat paint (C) on a substrate, (1) to use a liquid thermocurable paint containing 0.1-30 parts by weight of aluminium powder and 1-200 parts by weight of titanium oxide pigment per 100 parts by weight of a thermosetting resin composition and the hiding film thickness of its coating film being less than 25 &mgr;m as said intermediate paint (B), (2) to use a solid color paint, a metallic paint or an interference pattern paint as said topcoat paint (C), and (3) to coat said topcoat paint (C) after curing by heating of the coating film of said intermediate paint (B). By this process it is possible to make an intermediate coating film thinner and to form a multilayer coating film with excellent smoothness.
