    摘要: A method of continuously manufacturing a hermetic plastic zipper wherein the plastic zipper has a readily peelable plastic layer prolonging in a lengthwise direction of the plastic zipper, the readily peelable plastic layer is welded using ultrasonic wave so that the peeling intensity of the welded portion is within a certain range, the method is characterized in that while the engaging portions are brought into a engaged state, the portion of the plastic zipper where the readily peelable plastic layer exists is inserted between an ultrasonic horn and an anvil, and the readily peelable layer is welded by using ultrasonic wave under a condition wherein the distance L between the ultrasonic horn and the anvil is uniformly held at an distance of H≧L≧0.85H wherein H stands for a maximum thickness of the plastic zipper under the engaged state.

One of the cover or the terminal block is formed of a colored, laser transmissive material and the other is formed of a laser non-transmissive material. The terminal block and the cover are automatically aligned with the moving block by an elastic force of the seal ring and a thermal welding part is circularly formed by means of a laser beam on the side of the outer periphery in each of the terminal block and the cover to be aligned for coupling the terminal block with the cover to fix the alignment.

    摘要: A temperature controlled food service container is formed with an inner portion having side walls and an opening for the receipt of food, and an outer portion having sidewalls spaced from the inner portion with a eutectic gel, disposed between them. A ledge extends from the periphery of the outer portion with a flange extending from the inner portion seated against the ledge; and is held by an ultrasonic bond joining the ledge to the flange. The food container has ribs along the sidewalls of the inner and outer portions. Peripheral channels and ridges are formed respectively on the ledge and flange for welded engagement with each other, the channels having enlarged segments which extend beyond the cross-sectional dimension of a respective ridge received therein. The method for making the food service container includes molding an outer walled shell portion having a ledge with at least one peripheral channel, and molding an inner walled shall portion having a major peripheral flange with at least one peripheral protuberance. Thereafter a eutectic gel is placed into the outer walled shell portion and the inner walled shell portion is placed therein. The peripheral protuberance is indexed into the peripheral channel and the ledge and flange are ultrasonically bonded.

    摘要: Laser welding is used to attach a laser-transparent component portion to an absorbing component portion at a laser weld joint area. The transparent component portion includes a first weld surface and a first taper locking surface formed opposite from the first weld surface. The absorbing component portion includes a second weld surface and a second taper locking surface formed opposite from the second weld surface. Prior to laser welding, the first and second taper locking surfaces cooperate to force and lock the first and second weld surfaces into abutting engagement at a predetermined pressure. A laser beam is then directed toward the first and second weld surfaces to permanently attach the component portions together. The first and second taper locking surfaces maintain the predetermined pressure during the laser welding process.
