    摘要: Piggable plate heat exchanger assemblies enable piggable cleaning of interior surfaces thereof. Piggable plate heat exchanger assemblies include an inner plate member and first and second channel forming members with adjacently positioned first and second channel forming extension plates to enclose the inner plate member to form first and second channels for first and second fluid flow. Other piggable plate heat exchanger assemblies include plate members and first and second end members in conjunction with corresponding plate members positioned at first and second ends of corresponding plate members to form first and bypass channels to flow first and second fluids. Still other piggable plate heat exchangers include a plurality of plate members and a plurality of end members forming in conjunction with the plate members a first channel and a second channel in an interweaving relation for flow of a first fluid substantially normal to flow of a second fluid.

    摘要: A flat heat exchanger plate typically used in a bulk material heat exchanger having an improved construction which increases heat transfer and service period by reducing bulk material accumulation. The flat heat exchanger plate is designed to operate under a negative internal pressure to eliminate depressions or dimples that are typically formed into the sides of these types of heat exchanger coils during the manufacture process. The dimples are created to reinforce the heat exchanger plate from positive internal pressures that other wise would cause the heat exchanger plate to bow due to internal positive pressures. With the removal of the depressions or dimples the tendency for bulk material to accumulate to the exterior surface of the plate is reduced, thereby increasing the service period of the plate and heat transfer. The flat heat exchanger plate tapers from wide to narrow along the direction of flow of bulk material across the plate to further reduce accumulation of bulk material.

    摘要: A method and a rapper device for cleaning a heat exchange surface in a pressure vessel. The rapper device includes a striker rod which has one end contacting the heat exchange surface in the pressure vessel and one end projecting out of the pressure vessel via a passage opening. The rapper device also includes an impacting device for impacting the projecting end of the striker rod. A section of the striker rod is slideably supported in a pressure chamber adjacent the passage opening. The pressure chamber is connected to a sealing gas supply maintaining the pressure in the pressure chamber at a higher level than the pressure in the pressure vessel. A bellows defines a pressure chamber around at least a section of the striker rod.

    摘要: A detonation device cleaning system includes a vessel having a main body including an outer surface and an inner surface that collectively define an interior chamber. A detonation combustor cleaning device is mounted to the vessel. The detonation combustor cleaning device includes at least one combustion chamber that defines a combustion flow path. The at least one combustion chamber includes a deflection member arranged along the combustion flow path. An ignition device is operatively connected to the at least one combustion chamber. The ignition device is selectively activated to ignite fuel within the at least one combustion chamber to produce a shockwave that moves in a first direction along the combustion flow path, is redirected back along the flow path within the at least one combustion chamber, and passes into the interior chamber to dislodge particles clinging to the inner surface of the vessel.
