摘要: This invention relates to an encoding/transmitting apparatus that is used to transmit moving-picture data from a transmitting side to a receiving side through a transmission path and to subject the moving-picture data to streaming in the receiving side. The apparatus has an external-output request determining unit (16) that monitors the state of a network. If the network assumes an undesirable state, the unit (16) causes a multiplex output unit (15) to stop multiplexing data. When the network assumes a good state, the unit (15) starts multiplexing the data again. A video encoding unit (11) and an audio encoding unit (12) keep encoding data, whether the multiplex output unit (15) is multiplexing data or not. When the area occupied by encoded data in an encoded-video-data storage unit (13) and the area occupied by encoded data in an encoded-audio-data storage unit (14) exceed a predetermined value, the units (11) and (12) stop encoding data, and wait until the area occupied by encoded data sufficiently decreases.

摘要: The disclosure relates to an apparatus for providing low-latency real-time broadcast content in an MMT-based streaming service and a computer-readable recording medium having a related program recorded therein. According to the disclosure, when a streaming request event for an arbitrary channel occurs, the apparatus determines whether the streaming request event satisfies an event condition for switching to a low-latency real-time broadcast mode. Depending on a determination results, the apparatus transmits a streaming request to a first or second streaming server for providing a streaming service based on a first or second media transmission technique. Then the apparatus receives and decodes a first or second streaming data packet of real-time broadcast content from the first or second streaming server and plays the decoded first or second streaming data packet.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method and a media device for pre-buffering media content streamed to the media device from a server system. The media device is connected to a network and has a rechargeable battery. The media device determines, by means of a bandwidth logic, an available network bandwidth and, by means of a charging logic, a charging level of the rechargeable battery. Based on these determinations, i.e. based on the determined available network bandwidth and the determined charging level of the rechargeable battery the media device selects a pre-buffering policy, by means of a pre-buffering logic, and pre-buffers media content, by means of the pre-buffering logic, from the server system in accordance with the selected pre-buffering policy.

摘要: An electronic device with one or more processors, memory and a display displays a first video stream on the display. While displaying the first video stream, the electronic device downloads and stores a first portion of a second video stream and receives a request to display the second video stream on the display. In response to receiving the request, the electronic device starts to play the second video stream using the first portion of the second video stream, if the first portion of the second video stream meets recency criteria with respect to a current stream time of the second video stream. But if the first portion of the second video stream does not meet the recency criteria, the electronic device requests a second portion of the second video stream that is outside of the first portion of the second video stream.

摘要: Certain aspects direct to a computing device, which include a processor, a microcontroller, a random access memory (RAM) having a frame buffer, a video controller configured to read video data from the frame buffer, and a non-volatile memory. The processor, the microcontroller, the RAM, the video controller, and the non-volatile memory are in communication with each other. The non-volatile memory stores an operating system, a media player, and first video data. The processor is configured to load the operating system to the RAM and execute the operating system. While the processor is loading the operating system, the microcontroller is configured to load and execute the media player into the RAM. The media player, when executed by the microcontroller, is configured to read the first video data from the non-volatile memory, and write second video data representing the first video data to the frame buffer.

摘要: A computer system receives a content-transition indication to provide a second decompressed media stream to a presentation device instead of providing a first decompressed media stream. In response to receiving the content-transition indication, the computer system ceases to receive a first compressed media stream corresponding to the first decompressed media stream and continues to provide the first decompressed media stream to the presentation device using first buffered data. The computer system selects a transition point for a second compressed media stream, corresponding to the second decompressed media stream, based on a quantity of data of the second compressed media stream to be buffered. While continuing to provide the first decompressed media stream to the presentation device using the first buffered data, the computer system receives and buffers the second compressed media stream starting at the transition point. The computer system provides the second decompressed media stream to the presentation device.

摘要: This disclosure describes methods and systems for integrating video production over a network of video production sites. The video production sites may each provide a video production function as part of a distributed video production process across the network. An integration server may receive production quality metrics from at least a first video production site and a second video production site. Each production quality metric may be indicative of quality of a corresponding sequence of video frames produced at a corresponding video production site. The video production integration server may dynamically control selection or merging of video frames from the first and second video production sites to generate an integrated video production, by comparing production quality metrics received from the first and second video production sites that correspond to a same sequence of video frames, against a threshold value or against each other.

摘要: This disclosure describes methods and systems for managing video frame rate at a video production site. A video editing processor at one of a plurality of video production sites may monitor an instantaneous rate of video frames processed by a user, and may determine an average rate of video frames processed by the user based on instantaneous rates monitored over time. The video editing processor may detect that the average rate has dropped below a predefined output rate. A controller may determine a rate of change of an instantaneous input rate of video frames being presented to the user for processing, and may increase the input rate of video frames being presented to the user, over a period of time such that the rate of change of the instantaneous input rate is below a predetermined threshold, to restore the average rate to the predefined output rate.

摘要: Systems, methods, devices, and non-transitory media of the various embodiments facilitate real time playback of a digital broadcast by enabling reduction of the amount of time a receiver device's low power mode interface with a separate computing device operates in an operational/high power mode. The receiver device may associate a stream of media packets of a digital broadcast with system time clock timestamps indicating when the media packets were received, and store the media packets in a temporary packet buffer. Periodically, a media packet burst stored in the temporary packet buffer may be sent to the separate computing device via a low power mode interface operating in an operational/high-power mode different than a low power mode. The low power mode interface may be returned to the low-power mode until the next burst of packets is sent to the separate computing device.
