摘要： A plastic bag having a reclosable plastic zipper is provided with a tamper-evident, non-reclosable peel seal formed by applying an adhesive to a treated strip adjacent to the interlocking zipper. The treatment is preferably by corona discharge, which causes the adhesive used to provide the peel seal to preferentially adhere to the treated strip when the peel seal is broken. A method for manufacturing the reclosable plastic zipper includes the steps of extruding a zipper profile, treating a portion of its surface, preferably by corona discharge, applying an adhesive to the treated portion, slitting the profile lengthwise, and folding over one of the resulting sides of the zipper to interlock them with one another.

摘要： A method for continuously manufacturing a composite sandwich structure by pultrusion through a pultrusion die comprises arranging fiber reinforcement materials on the surface of a preformed foam core, applying liquid resin to the reinforcement materials on the surface of the foam core, heating the surface region of the foam core to a temperature of at least 100.degree. C. to convert water in the foam core to steam, thereby causing water vapor pressure expansion of the foam, and using the expansion of the foam core to subject the liquid resin to increased pressure.

摘要： Method and apparatus for the manufacture of a friction clutch plate. First and second friction components are placed on first and second jig means, a bead of adhesive elastomeric material is deposited on the first friction component and a metal carrier plate is placed on top of the bead. A bead of adhesive elastomeric material is deposited on the second friction component and the latter is placed on to the metal carrier plate with the face of the friction component on which the bead was deposited being against the metal carrier plate. The two friction components and the carrier plate are held together for a time such that the assembly is handleable. One jig means can be adapted to receive and locate a friction component on one face and a metal carrier plate on a second face, and robot means can be used for depositing the beads of adhesive elastomeric material.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process for adhering coatings directly to semicrystalline polymer films. The surface of the film is first rendered quasi-amorphous. The quasi-amorphous surface is then either (a) washed with a solvent for amorphous polyester and then coated or (b) coated and heated to a temperature to recrystallize the surface of the polymer. These treatments improve both the consistency and strength of the bond between the coating and the polymer surface.

摘要： A removable foam backed carpet may be prepared by laminating a non-woven scrim, having a cohesive strength less than the cohesive strength of the foam, to the back of a foam backed carpet. The foam backed carpet is gelled, crushed and vulcanized to produce a resilient backing having a good delamination strength. The carpet is particularly useful when it is cut into tiles. The carpet tile may be easily removed to install wiring of if wear is excessive.

However, on the one hand an adhesive setting instantly at room temperature is used, and on the other hand the various heating elements used to bring about the setting of adhesives polymerizing through an endothermic reaction are kept switched off.The invention is particularly useful for making furniture or wall panels.
