Compositions for lubricants and methods for producing the same using spherical bismuth powder and spherical copper powder particles are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the lubricant includes a base oil, a grease, a copper powder, comprising at least one spherical particle, and a bismuth powder, comprising at least one spherical particle. The lubricant can be used as an engine oil, a gear oil, a grease lubricant, or a spray lubricant. When applying the lubricant to an internal combustible engine, the heat and pressure within the engine compresses the lubricant to infuse the copper and bismuth powder particles to the internal surface of the engine. When used in internal combustible engines, the disclosed lubricants deliver outstanding wear resistance, improve gas mileage, extend interval times needed for oil changes, and also reduce engine exhaust emission.

The invention relates to a lubricant in the form of grease or thick lubricating gel or transmission oil, as well as motor or universal oils with a myriad of applications. As a result of its contents presented in the patent application is characteristic of low coefficient of friction ranging from 0.055 to 0.062. As the main component, the contents of the discussed lubricant includes three or four stearates of metals or hydroxistearates of metals, which interact and cause a noticeable reduction of friction drag on the lubricated surfaces. Additionally, these substances may include a number of other solid or liquid elements, which maintain low friction drags and, furthermore, improve the lubricant through increasing its load capacity, antirust characteristics, shear strength, etc. The lubricant made according to the invention underwent comparative tests against other greases and greasing oils, the accounts of which are included in the application as diagrams, descriptions of research tests and examples of the contents of the lubricant products.

The invention provides a method and system for electrolytically coating an article. The method includes providing an article to be coated and disposing the article in an electrolytic cell. The cell includes an anode, a cathode in operable communication with the article, and an electrolyte bath. During electrolysis, the electrolyte bath comprises cobalt ions, phosphorous acid, and tribological particles selected from the group consisting of refractory materials, solid lubricants and mixtures thereof dispersed therein. The method further includes applying steady direct electric current through the anode, the electrolyte bath and the cathode to coat the article with cobalt, phosphorous and the tribological particles. An improved composition of matter is also provided that may be used as a coating, or the composition may be electroformed on a mandrel to form an article made from the composition of matter.
