    Abstract: A heater includes a fuel cell stack assembly disposed within a heater housing and includes a plurality of fuel cells which convert chemical energy from a fuel into heat and electricity through a chemical reaction with an oxidizing agent. A combustor disposed within the heater housing receives an anode exhaust and a cathode exhaust from the fuel cell stack assembly and combusts a mixture of the anode exhaust and the cathode exhaust to produce a heated combustor exhaust. The combustor includes a combustor exhaust outlet for discharging the heated combustor exhaust into the heater housing. A baffle disposed around the fuel cell stack assembly and the combustor defines a heat transfer channel radially between the heater housing and the baffle. A flow director in fluid communication with the combustor exhaust outlet and the heat transfer channel communicates the heated combustor exhaust to the heat transfer channel.

    Abstract: An electromechanical assembly includes a generally planar printed circuit board (PCB), an electrical terminal electrically and mechanically connected to the PCB and projecting from a major surface of the PCB, and a housing formed of a dielectric material having a base portion and a terminal portion. The terminal portion defines a cavity and the electrical terminal is disposed within this cavity. The terminal portion is disposed within a aperture that is defined by the base portion. The electromechanical assembly defines a gap between the base portion and the terminal portion. The terminal portion is connected to the base portion by a pair of flexible beams which may have a serpentine or ogee curve shape, each of which is attached between one of two opposed sides of the base portion and the terminal portion.

    Abstract: A method to enable a vehicle's embedded USB Host system to connect to multiple mobile devices through a USB Hub, regardless of whether the mobile devices are configured to act as USB Hosts or USB Devices, without OTG controllers or additional vehicle wiring, or inhibiting the functionality of any consumer devices connected to the same USB Hub.Preferably, the method is configured to provide that no additional cabling is required, and no hardware changes are required to be made to the HU. The method can be employed between a vehicle's embedded USB Host, USB Hub and at least one consumer accessible USB port. In the case where the consumer device is acting as a USB Host, signals between the consumer device and the vehicle's embedded USB Host are processed through a USB bridge, thereby rendering the consumer device compatible with the vehicle's embedded USB Host.

    Abstract: A cold-test system for testing a camera at a cold temperature includes a test-chamber with a window, a nozzle, and a recirculator. The window is installed in the test-chamber so the camera is provided with a view of a test-target outside of the test-chamber. The nozzle is located proximate to a first edge of the window. The nozzle is configured to direct air from an air-source in a first direction and adjacent to an outside-surface of the window. The recirculator is located proximate to a second edge of the window opposite the first edge. The recirculator is configured to receive the air moving in the first direction and re-direct that air in a second direction opposite the first direction and adjacent to the air moving in the first direction opposite the window. The nozzle and the recirculator cooperate to form a bi-directional air-curtain proximate to the outside-surface.
