    摘要: Apparatus and a method for predistortion of a radio-frequency signal are described. At least one predistortion unit is described that is arranged to receive an analog baseband signal before amplification and to generate an analog predistortion signal based on said analog baseband signal. At least one mixer unit is also described and may be electrically coupled to the at least one predistortion unit. In this case, the at least one mixer unit is arranged to receive the analog baseband signal before amplification and the analog predistortion signal and to generate a weighted combination of said signals.

    摘要: Systems and method for improving operation of a radio frequency system are provided. One embodiment describes a radio frequency system, which includes a first switching power amplifier that outputs an amplified analog electrical signal based on a first input analog electrical signal and voltage of an envelope voltage supply rail. The first switching power amplifier includes a first transistor with a gate that receives the first input analog electrical signal, a source that is electrically coupled to the envelope voltage supply rail, and a drain that is electrically coupled to an output of the first switching power amplifier; a second transistor with a gate that receives the first input analog electrical signal, a source electrically coupled to ground, and a drain electrically coupled to the output of the first switching power amplifier; and a third transistor with a gate that receives the first input analog electrical signal, a drain electrically coupled to the envelope voltage supply rail, and a source electrically coupled to an output of a second switching power amplifier.

    摘要: An amplifier includes at least two amplification stages coupled in parallel. Each amplification stage includes at differential pair of amplifying MOS transistors having gates connected to a first and second input nodes common to amplifying stages, and bulk regions connected to each other but insulated from bulk regions of the amplifying MOS transistors of the other amplification stages. A configuration circuit generates bias voltage for application to the bulk terminals in each amplification stage to set the threshold voltages of the amplifying MOS transistors, and thus configuring the operating range of each amplification stage so that different amplification stages have different operating ranges.
