Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing a data center monitoring and management operation. The data center monitoring and management operation includes: identifying a plurality of asset resources within a data center; monitoring workloads within the data center, the monitoring providing data center workload data, the data center workload data including asset resource utilization data; determining whether certain asset resources are underutilized; presenting a load balance configurator user interface, the load balance configurator user interface enabling allocation of asset resources to target workloads; and, performing a data center asset allocation operation, the data center asset allocation operation reallocating workloads in response to the allocation of asset resources to target workloads.

Abstract: A forwarding entry generation method includes sending, by a controller, a plurality of resource allocation request messages to a plurality of network devices in a network slice, to trigger the plurality of network devices to allocate resources, where the resource allocation request message includes an identifier of the network slice and a resource that needs to be allocated by a corresponding network device to the network slice; receiving, by the controller, a plurality of resource allocation response messages including the identifier of the network slice and a segment identifier of a corresponding network device, and a resource allocated by each device belongs to the network slice; and generating, by the controller, a forwarding table corresponding to the network slice, where the forwarding table includes a forwarding entry for arriving at a network device in the network slice.

Abstract: An example SoC includes a plurality of processing systems supporting respective Quality of Service (QoS) rules, channel circuitry that is configured to service communications for the plurality of processing systems and that includes a QoS manager. The QoS manager determines that a first processing system of the plurality of processing systems that operates according to first QoS rules desires to send a communication with a first QoS selection of the first QoS rules to a second processing system that operates according to second QoS rules, determines available communication receipt resources of the second processing system of the plurality of processing systems, the second processing system supporting second QoS rules, determines a communication resources allocation for the second processing system based upon the first QoS rules, the second QoS rules, and the first QoS selection, and directs the second processing system to operate according to the communication resource allocation.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of dynamically re-allocating computing resources while maintaining network connection(s). Applications of users are run in a computing unit. Computing resources are allocated among the applications based at least in part on dynamic demands of the applications for the computing resources and resource limits associated with the respective customers. In a first example, the computing resources are dynamically re-allocated among the applications, as a result of changing the resource limit of at least one customer, while maintaining at least one network connection between a client device of each customer and at least one respective application. In a second example, the computing resources are dynamically re-allocated among the applications, as a result of changing the resource limit of at least one customer, while maintaining at least one network connection between an interface and a client device of each customer.

Abstract: Disclosed are various implementations of cluster capacity management for infrastructure updates. In some examples, cluster hosts for a cluster can be scheduled for an update. A datacenter level workload can invoke an enter cluster maintenance mode component of a datacenter level resource scheduler by identifying a specified cluster of a datacenter. The datacenter level workload can receive an add host command to add a host for the host level update. Once the host level update is performed on hosts of the specified cluster, the datacenter level workload invokes an exit cluster maintenance mode component and implements a cluster scaling decision.

Abstract: A method for controlling network congestion, including overlaying an overlay network packet header on an encapsulation outer layer of a transmit packet, where the overlay network packet header includes an outer Internet Protocol (IP) header, and an explicit congestion notification (ECN) identifier of an ECN is set in the outer IP header, decapsulating the overlay network packet header for an encapsulated reply packet, where an inner congestion identifier that is based on the ECN identifier is obtained from an IP header of the decapsulated reply packet through matching, and if the decapsulated reply packet is a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packet, forwarding the UDP packet to a preset slow channel.

Abstract: A system that provides services to clients may receive and service requests, various ones of which may require different amounts of work. The system may determine whether it is operating in an overloaded or underloaded state based on a current work throughput rate, a target work throughput rate, a maximum request rate, or an actual request rate, and may dynamically adjust the maximum request rate in response. For example, if the maximum request rate is being exceeded, the maximum request rate may be raised or lowered, dependent on the current work throughput rate. If the target or committed work throughput rate is being exceeded, but the maximum request rate is not being exceeded, a lower maximum request rate may be proposed. Adjustments to the maximum request rate may be made using multiple incremental adjustments. Service request tokens may be added to a leaky token bucket at the maximum request rate.

The DRN may be hierarchical in that some resources of the DRN may provide services to, and/or may otherwise be accessible to, a greater quantity of elements of the DRN or some other network.
