Abstract:
There is provided a medical support device for holding and positioning a needle. This device is particularly useful for positioning needles in a less invasive puncture treatment. This device comprises two rotational elements and at least one needle guide attached to a rotational element and. The needle guide guides the direction of insertion of a needle-like instrument and includes a guide portion that guides a needle or other needle-like instrument where the puncture point of the needle in a first position is different from the puncture point when the needle guide guides the needle in a second position.
Abstract:
One or more devices, systems, methods and storage mediums for performing continuously, full range optical coherence tomography (OCT) without losing A-lines are provided. Examples of such applications include imaging, evaluating and diagnosing biological objects, such as, but not limited to, for cardio and/or ophthalmic applications, and being obtained via one or more optical instruments, such as, but not limited to, optical probes (e.g., common path probes), catheters, endoscopes, phase shift units (e.g., galvanometer scanner) and bench top systems. Preferably, the OCT devices, systems methods and storage mediums include or involve a phase shift device including at least a galvanometer scanner. The galvanometer scanner is preferably applied with or to a voltage with a triangle shape, the voltage having continuity or absolute constant frequency to obtain continuous images without losing any A-lines. The method(s) may include background subtraction, image shifting to compensate phase shifts and a DC noise reduction algorism.
Abstract:
An image processing device and control method that includes a processor and a memory storing a set of instructions that, when executed by the processor, controls the image processing device to receive a first data object representing a software update to be applied to the at least one peripheral device coupled to the image processing device. A communication mode switch message is generated to change a mode of communicating data between the at least one peripheral device and the image processing device and communicate the communication mode switch message to the at least one peripheral device. Currently active communication mode is disabled and a previously disabled communication pathway of the at least one peripheral device is activated as an update mode. The data representing the software update is transmitted via the update mode to apply the software update to the at least one peripheral device.
Abstract:
Exemplary probes including longitudinal marker elements arranged parallel to the probe axis are provided for reducing or eliminating non-uniform rotational distortions (NURD) in imaging systems. Additional ring marker elements may also be provided to reduce or eliminate non-uniform linear distortion (NULD). These probes, as well as systems and methods of use provide for images having better image quality and reduced NURD.
Abstract:
A server that receives, from an image processing device, a request indicating a data file stored on a file server and a predetermined type of processing to be performed on the data file. It is determined whether memory stores information associated with a current session between the image processing device and the server. Based on determining that the information is not stored, initiating a download of the data file, generating a modified version of the downloaded data file and storing the information associated with the current session in the memory. The modified version is provided to the image processing device if the predetermined type of processing is a first type of processing and the downloaded file to the image processing device if the predetermined processing is a second type of processing.
Abstract:
A bayonet style connector and methods for using the connector are provided. The bayonet style connector is particularly capable of single-handed manipulation by a user. It comprises a cylindrical housing; a boss and a locking boss on the outer surface of the cylindrical housing; and a handle. The locking boss is configured to resiliently move relative to the cylindrical housing, and the handle is configured to move the locking boss.
Abstract:
Exemplary methods, endoscopes, and endoscope sheaths are provided having an integrally formed imaging window. The sheath may comprise thin coiled wires and may be made using a dip-casting process.
Abstract:
Exemplary apparatus and methods are provided for analyzing a medium. The apparatus, which may be a diffusing wave spectroscopy apparatus, comprises a first beam splitter for splitting a light from the laser light source into an excitation light and a reference light. The excitation light is directed on to a first portion of the medium and then multiply scattered light is collected at a second portion of the medium, the second portion being different from the first portion. The reference light, which has been attenuated, is combined with the multiply scattered light and either a power spectrum or an autocorrelation function is calculated.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention include methods, systems, and computer-readable media for processing transactions involving sensitive information, such as a credit card number. Embodiments include a first server authenticating a second server based on a security token and determining whether the security token is expired. Based on the results, the first server may request a transaction token associated with sensitive information. The first server may encrypt the transaction token using a public key of the second server. The first server may send the encrypted transaction token as a parameter to a URL, wherein the URL is configured to cause a browser on a client to send, to the second server, a request for the page and the encrypted transaction token.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided. Some embodiments include receiving, at a computing system from an image processing device, a request to access a resource. The computing system obtains information that identifies a component installed on the image processing device as a replacement component. The computing system obtains information indicating a count value of a counter associated with the component. The computing system determines whether the counter has been reset based on the information indicating the count value of the counter. In response to determining that the counter has not been reset, the computing system sends, to the image processing device, the resource including information for presentation as an interface element in a graphical user interface on a display of the image processing device, the interface element enabling a user to reset the counter by selecting the interface element.
