According to a first aspect, the safety mechanism (14) is arranged to rapidly displace the active portion (26) away from a user extremity. Alternatively, according to a second aspect, the safety mechanism (14) is arranged to rapidly urge an extremity of the user away from the active portion (26) of the power tool (10).

摘要： 8PSK modulation methods and apparatuses are provided. In a first embodiment, product factors of symbol vectors and a coefficient of a shape filter are stored in a table and compressed by 8 times based on a law of a trigonometric function, wherein a method of table looking-up is used to replace a multiplication operation. In a second embodiment, all states of 8PSK modulation are stored in a table after shape filtering, and then the data of the states stored in the table are compressed based on a corresponding relationship of a law of a trigonometric function and an electrical level diversity, and then a table looking-up operation is performed. In a third embodiment, new modulated vectors are stored in a modulated phase table after simple 8PSK modulation and phase rotation, the modulated phase table is compressed by 4 times, and new modulated vectors are obtained by a table looking-up operation and data processing. Then, shape filtering is performed by utilizing a RAM coefficient filter. The 8PSK modulation methods and apparatuses are compatible with GSM systems and are capable of providing sufficient capability of data services and sufficiently extending a life cycle of prior GSM systems. It allows a service agent not only to save investment, but also to provide competitive services.

摘要： A control system is provided for use in a power tool. The control system includes: a rotational rate sensor having a resonating mass and a controller electrically connected to the rotational rate sensor. The rotational rate sensor detects lateral displacement of the resonating mass and generates a signal indicative of the detected lateral displacement, such that the lateral displacement is directly proportional to a rotational speed at which the power tool rotates about an axis of the rotary shaft. Based on the generated signal, the controller initiates a protective operation to avoid further undesirable rotation of the power tool. The control scheme employed by the power tool may initiate different protective operations for different tool conditions.

摘要： A clutch assembly for limiting a torque output of the power tool. The clutch assembly includes an annular rotatable clutch member, which is coupled to the ring gear of a planetary gearset in a transmission, and an engagement assembly. The clutch member has a clutch face with a predetermined clutch profile. The engagement assembly has at least one follower member that abuts the clutch member and cooperates with the clutch profile to inhibit rotation of the clutch member relative to the follower member only when the magnitude of the torque output of the power tool is less than a predetermined maximum torque. The clutch face on the clutch member is located between the opposite axially ends of the ring gear.

摘要： A clutch arrangement for a power tool having a multi-speed transmission. The clutch arrangement includes a clutch member and a follower member. The clutch member is coupled to a member of the transmission that is proximate the torsional input of the transmission and which must be in a non-rotating position to permit the transmission to perform a torque multiplication operation. The follower member is biased into engagement with the clutch member to inhibit relative rotation therebetween. As the clutch member and the transmission member are coupled to one another, the transmission is able to perform a torque multiplication operation. When, however, the torsion that is exerted onto the clutch member is sufficient to overcome the frictional engagement between the follower and clutch members, the clutch member, and the transmission member, rotate, thereby inhibiting the capability of the transmission to continue to perform the torque multiplication operation.
