    摘要: A method for producing an AB block copolymer with PDI is provided. The method comprises steps of: 1) reaction, in the presence of at least one free radical initiator, of a reaction mixture comprising a compound of formula (I), and 2) reaction, at a temperature of 45° C. or above, of a reaction mixture comprising an ethylenically unsaturated monomer B and, independent from that of step 1), a compound of formula (I) and the macroinitiator of step 1) in solvent(s) to obtain the AB block copolymer; wherein the weight ratio of the compound of formula (I) to the macroinitiator in step 2) is at least 1:1000.

    摘要: The present invention relates to the use of AB block copolymer composition as a surface coating wherein the composition comprises (a) an AB block copolymer; and (b) a liquid medium and wherein the AB block copolymer comprises: (a) a substantially hydrophobic block A, and (b) a substantially hydrophilic block B wherein the hydrophobic block A comprises one or more monomer of formula (A) wherein R is H or C1 to C4 alkyl; Z is O, P or N; and R′ is selected from the group comprising: C1 to C18 linear or non linear alkyl; C1 to C18 alkylamino alkyl; C1 to C18 dihydroxyalkyl; C1 to C18 silylalkyl; epoxy alkyl, phosphoryl or phosphoryl alkyl; a styrene based monomer; a vinyl phosphonate or phosphoric acid monomer; and wherein the liquid medium comprises either: (i) water; (ii) an organic solvent; (iii) an organic solvent substantially free from water; or (iv) an organic solvent and water; and wherein: the liquid medium further optionally comprises one or more additive, surfactant or wetting agent.

    摘要: Disclosed are an aqueous pigment dispersion containing at least a pigment, water, a high-molecular dispersant, and an alkali. The high-molecular dispersant is a diblock polymer having a formula (1) of A-B or a triblock polymer having a formula (2) of A-B-C. The diblock or triblock polymer is a diblock or triblock polymer obtained by polymerizing addition-polymerizable monomers with a radical generator while using an organic iodide as a polymerization initiating compound and an organic phosphorus compound, organic nitrogen compound or organic oxygen compound as a catalyst. Also disclosed are a production method and use of the aqueous pigment dispersion. With the high-molecular dispersant obtained by a simple living radical polymerization process free of the problems of conventional living radical polymerization and having a precisely-controlled molecular structure, the aqueous pigment dispersion can be obtained with the pigment dispersed in it.
