    摘要: In a moving image encoding apparatus of this invention, a generated bit amount extracting section (21) counts generated bits of variable-length-encoded data in units of macroblocks, and a reference generated bit count is set in a parameter value control section (22) as an update condition for a parameter value in each block. The boundary value of the parameter value is set in an intra/inter determination section (23) as a criterion for selection of the intra-encoding mode. In the inter-frame encoding mode, the parameter value control section (22) updates the parameter value of a block in which the generated bit count value of encoded data obtained by the generated bit amount extracting section (21) exceeds a reference value. The intra/inter determination section (23) determines that the influence of a data error is large in a block in which the parameter value is continuously updated and exceeds the boundary value, and switches the current mode to the intra-encoding mode to perform refresh operation.

    摘要: An image data compression device includes: a quantization section which quantizes image data based on a quantization parameter; a FIFO buffer section in which quantized data for at least N frames (N is an integer larger than one) is buffered; an encoded data generation section which reads the quantized data from the FIFO buffer section, and generates encoded data; a rate control section which changes a quantization step by using a data size of the encoded data; and a frame skip section which skips a quantization processing of the quantization section. The rate control section calculates the quantization parameter by using an average data size of the encoded data for previous N frames, and the frame skip section performs the skip processing when a frame in which the quantization parameter is greater than a threshold continues equal to or more than a number of times for a number threshold.

    摘要: In an image processing method for a mobile communication terminal, a threshold value is set in advance for a state of traffic. A processing buffer of a second layer of the mobile terminal then analyzes a current state of traffic and compares it with the pre-set threshold value. If the traffic exceeds the threshold value, resolution of an image input through a camera is reduced, and the resolution-reduced image is transmitted. As a result, a natural looking image can be provided according to the state of traffic and thus reliability of a service quality can be enhanced.
