Abstract:
In a method and a device for finishing an endless fabric, the endless fabric is transported past a rotating applicator roll that is wetted with a liquor, in order to apply the liquor onto the endless fabric. On the endless fabric that has been transported onwards, after drying, the thread add-on, or its change, is measured and evaluated on an ongoing basis by a sensor, in order to regulate the rotational speed of the application roll as a function of the measuring result. A device is suitable for implementing the method.
Abstract:
A device for the sectional application of liquor to a running fabric web includes an applicator roll that has liquor applied to it which, during the application of the liquor to the fabric web is located lying against the fabric web. A removal device is provided, with which the liquor is able to be removed section by section from the applicator roll in the longitudinal direction of the applicator roll and/or an application device is provided, with which the liquor is able to be applied section by section onto the applicator roll.
Abstract:
Carpet material with at least a proportion of uncleaned used carpets is shredded to form a fiber-like wooly mass. The carpet material contains a thermoplastic binder with a low melting point, for example polypropylene, which can be derived from the used carpets or be added. On at least one side of the carpet material, a cover layer of wood chips is provided. The carpet material, together with the layers of the adhesive-coated wood chips which form the cover layers, is compressed to form the molded part or panel, at a temperature which lies above the plasticizing point of the thermoplastic binder, but below the plasticizing point of any other thermoplastic components of the carpet material.
Abstract:
Carpet material with at least a proportion of uncleaned used carpets is shredded to form a fiber-like wooly mass. The carpet material contains a thermoplastic binder with a low melting point, for example polypropylene, which can be derived from the used carpets or be added. Furthermore, a duroplastically hardening binder, for example phenolic resin, is added to the carpet material. The carpet material is compressed to form the molded part or panel with these two binders, at a temperature which lies above the plasticizing point of the thermoplastic binder, but below the plasticizing point of any other thermoplastic components of the carpet material.
Abstract:
A hydraulically supported roll includes a stationary crosshead extending through a rotatable hollow roll, which is heated at its inner and outer circumferences. A thermostatic control and regulating device is provided to keep the temperatures at the inner circumference and the outer circumference of the hollow roll at the same level during the heatin-up and/or cooling-down phase.
Abstract:
A calender unit for producing and/or processing thin films, includes two rollers that are rotatably supported at two bearing points in a frame, which each include a hollow cylindrical roller body that forms the working roller circumference, the two roller circumferences forming a roller gap between themselves and at least the one roller is arranged so that it is able to be cooled using a heat exchange medium, the roller body of this roller being arranged as a hollow cylinder and the roller including a carrier which protrudes at one end from the roller body and is supported torsionally fixed on the frame as well as in the roller body to allow a rotation of same about the roller axis, the support of the crosshead taking place in the roller body between the two bearing points, as seen in the longitudinal direction, and device(s) being provided for reducing profile errors in the operation of the calender unit.

The carpet material contains a thermoplastic binder with a low melting point, for example polypropylene, which can be derived from the used carpets or be added. Furthermore, a proportion of fiber-like wood chips is added to the carpet material. Abstract:
A measuring device for detecting product strips on a fabric, e.g., a paper-including or textile-including fabric, includes a sensor, that records optical, magnetic or electrical properties of the fabric, which converts the recorded property to a measuring signal, a device for establishing a signal threshold value, and a signal device which emits an optical and/or an acoustical signal when a change in the measuring signal beyond the threshold value is taking place. Using this measuring device, strip positions and strip widths may be recorded of the strips applied to the fabric which are not visible to the human eye.
Abstract:
A device for treating a continuously advancing material web with ultrasound includes an ultrasound generator and a sonotrode, rigidly connected with the former in a manner so as to transmit ultrasound. The sonotrode has a face which lies opposite a counter-tool. The material web is passed through the gap. The module composed of the ultrasound generator and the sonotrode is connected with the machine frame via a piezoelectric actuator, by means of which small displacements of the face of the sonotrode relative to the circumference surface of the counter-roller can be balanced out.
Abstract:
In a hydraulically supported roll including a rotatable hollow cylinder and a stationary crosshead, transverse end seals are provided to seal a longitudinal chamber formed in the clearance space between the crosshead and the hollow cylinder. Each transverse end seal includes a roller bearing having a first bearing ring rotatable with the hollow cylinder and a second bearing ring mounted on the crosshead. The first bearing ring includes a first surface, which along with a second surface formed on a ring secured to the crosshead, defines a clearance gap. The gap has a width of less than 0.1 mm. The first bearing ring seals the longitudinal chamber at the inner circumference of the hollow cylinder and the first and second gap defining surfaces are located on parts that are axially restrained with respect to the crosshead.
