    摘要: A process for calibrating a flow sensor in a respiratory system, with final control elements arranged in the respiratory system for influencing the respiration gas stream, is to be improved in terms of the influence of the qualitative gas composition of the respiration gas. To accomplish the task, the final control elements 4, 11 are switched, for calibration, over to a closed respiratory system with directed respiration gas stream. The drive unit 13 feeds the respiration gas present in the respiratory system through the flow sensor 9 according to a predetermined time-volume relationship. A calibration value for the flow sensor 9 is formed by comparison of the time-volume relationship with the measured signal of the flow sensor 9.

    摘要: A device for detecting the condition of flow in a respiration system combines the function of a nonreturn valve with the function of flow measurement in a common device. The device includes a valve arrangement (1) with a valve disk (9) and with a valve body (8), wherein the position of a valve disk (9) in relation to a valve seat (11) is detected. An indicator for a flow and a direction of flow (5), (6) is determined from the position of the valve disk (9). The position of the valve disk (9) can be determined inductively, electrically, electromechanically or optically. The flow and direction of flow (5), (6) determined can be used to control the respiration in a medical device.

    摘要: A gas delivery arrangement for respirators and anesthesia apparatus includes a radial flow compressor (10) with bent-backwards blades. The compressor impeller (11) is arranged in a stationary housing (14). The gas inlet (12) is located in the area of the axis of rotation of the compressor impeller (11) and the blades (13) extend from the gas inlet (12) in the area of the axis of rotation to the circular outer edge of the compressor impeller (11) and end there nearly tangentially. The free gas flow path between the outer edge of the compressor impeller (11) and the inner wall of the housing (14) passes over into the gas outlet (15) of the gas delivery arrangement in the direction of gas flow. The compressor impeller is driven by an electric motor and has a radius of up to 40 mm and a mass moment of inertia of up to about 4.times.10.sup.-6 kg.times.m.sup.2. The arrangement is an extremely compact gas delivery arrangement, which requires few components and no valves, can be used in a versatile manner and is able to change pressures in a highly dynamic manner, is provided by the subject of the present invention. The pneumatic resistance of the gas delivery arrangement according to the present invention is less than 4 mbar at a gas flow rate of 60 L per minute.

    摘要: A respiratory flow sensor to be connected between a breathing tube and an endotracheal catheter, which has a flow channel, an orifice, which is formed by a foil recessed in the flow tube, in which an orifice flap is formed by an incision, and has connections to the flow channel on both sides of the orifice to pick up the pressure difference generated over the orifice. The respiratory flow sensor is reusable and makes possible accurate measurement even at low flow rates and low pneumatic resistance. The foil is a metal foil, which is interrupted by a central incision in the area carrying the orifice flap to form two hinge elements which are narrow compared with the width of the orifice flap. A first flow rectifier is arranged in the flow channel between the orifice flap and the connection for the endotracheal catheter.
