    摘要: There is provided a semiconductor laser pumped solid-state laser device for engine ignition that can stably provide optical energy required for ignition across a wide temperature range. In the semiconductor laser pumped solid-state laser device for engine ignition, a plurality of semiconductor lasers 21, 22, 23, and 24 are used that have locking ranges, a temperature width thereof divided into a plurality of temperature ranges corresponding to a variation width of an ambient temperature, and that have the respective wavelengths falling within an absorption wavelength band of a solid-state laser medium 5 of the solid-state laser device in the temperature width of each locking range, to pump the solid-state laser medium 5 by multiplexing emitted lights from the plurality of semiconductor lasers 21, 22, 23, and 24 using a multiplexing mechanism to irradiate the solid-state laser medium 5.

    摘要: A forward flow region in which forward intake air currents are produced and a reverse flow region in which reverse intake air currents are produced are formed in the throttle bore of a throttle body 3 included in an internal-combustion engine, and the boundary between those regions extends below a throttle valve 5. A fuel vapor control system for an internal-combustion engine has a purge tube 13 joined to the throttle body 3 to supply fuel vapor into the throttle body 3 and is provided with an opening 22 which acts as a purge port. The opening 22 is positioned at a distance from the inner surface 21 of the throttle body 3 defining a throttle bore on the boundary between the forward intake air currents and the reverse intake air currents. Fuel vapor jetted through the opening 22 of the purge tube 13 into the throttle bore flows toward an intake manifold 2, diffusing into both the forward intake air currents and the reverse intake air currents from the boundary between the intake air currents. Accordingly, the fuel vapor is distributed evenly through the intake manifold 2 to the cylinders, so that increase in the difference in air-fuel ratio between the cylinders can be suppressed. The purge port can relatively easily be formed, because the purge tube 13 provided with the purge port is fitted closely in a bore formed in the throttle body 3.

    摘要: It is an object to provide a continuously variable valve timing adjusting device to improve valve timing advance response for an internal combustion engine. The device, capable of continuously and variably controlling the intake valve timing phase, includes: an advance chamber which hydraulically rotates a vane rotor and a camshaft on the advance side relative to the timing rotor; a retard chamber for rotating the camshaft on the retard side relative to the timing rotor; an advance-retard oil pressure control valve; an oil communicating passage for fluid communication between the advance chamber and the retard chamber; a hydraulic piston, flow control valve which controls the oil in the communicating passage according to the retard chamber pressure when the engine is running at a low speed and a high oil temperature; and a ball valve check valve which checks the oil flow from the advance chamber to the retard chamber.

    摘要: A vaporized fuel control apparatus according to the present invention is provided in an internal-combustion engine at least including a plurality of cylinders and each cylinder having a fuel injector, an intake tube mounted to the cylinders, a fuel tank, and a canister connected to the fuel tank. The vaporized fuel control apparatus includes a purge valve and an electronic control unit for controlling the opening/closing of the purge valve. The purge valve is provided in a purge passage connected between the canister and intake tube, the canister being filled by an absorbing material to absorb a fuel vaporized from the fuel tank. The electronic control unit controls an amount of purged gas flowing into the intake tube by controlling the opening/closing timing and the duty ratio of the purge valve in such a way that the purge valve is opened at a timing when a stroke of a particular cylinder reaches the same stroke at a next cycle in synchronization with an engine rotational speed, and an amount of the fuel supplied to the particular cylinder is reduced in accordance with an amount corresponding to an inflow amount of the purged gas.
