摘要： An engine starting control apparatus is basically provided with a motor control section, a valve timing control section and a start control section. The motor control section is configured to operate an electric motor to crank an engine with an output of the electric motor being adjustable. The valve timing control section is configured to operate a variable valve operating mechanism when the engine is started to change at least a close timing of an intake valve of the engine from an initial timing to a start timing such that the start timing is set closer to an intake bottom dead center during a single engine start as compared to the initial timing. The start control section is configured to adjust the output of the electric motor as the close timing of the intake valve changes from the initial timing to the start timing during the single engine start.

摘要： An engine system is capable of switching between a first fuel injection mode, in which fuel is injected from a fuel injection valve 23 directly into a combustion chamber 6 in the compression stroke, and a second fuel injection mode, in which fuel is injected from the fuel injection valve 23 directly into the combustion chamber 6 in the intake stroke. A controller 30 determines the characteristic of the fuel that is supplied to the fuel injection valve 23, selects either the first fuel injection mode or the second fuel injection mode according to the fuel characteristic, and starts an engine 1 in the selected fuel injection mode.

摘要： An engine control device is configured to cause an engine to operate at the optimum combustion mode according to the load when warming up of an emissions purification catalyst is required, and to obtain reduced HC discharged from the engine and accelerated warm-up of the catalyst. The engine control device performs stratified combustion with a compression stroke injection in a low-load region according to the engine load, and performs double-injection combustion with an intake stroke injection and a compression stroke injection in an intermediate load region, when warming up of the catalyst is required. In a high-load region, the engine control device performs homogenous combustion with an intake stroke injection.

摘要： The startup time of an engine is shortened by performing initial fuel injection after the start of cranking on a cylinder undergoing an intake stroke and a cylinder undergoing an exhaust stroke. After the initial fuel injection, HC emissions are suppressed by performing fuel injection in cylinders undergoing an exhaust stroke. Furthermore when it is determined that initial combustion has not occurred after the initial fuel injection, an additional injection is performed on the cylinder undergoing an intake stroke. In this manner, it is possible to minimize increases in the startup time and adverse effects on exhaust emissions.
