    摘要: An engine starting control apparatus is basically provided with a motor control section, a valve timing control section and a start control section. The motor control section is configured to operate an electric motor to crank an engine with an output of the electric motor being adjustable. The valve timing control section is configured to operate a variable valve operating mechanism when the engine is started to change at least a close timing of an intake valve of the engine from an initial timing to a start timing such that the start timing is set closer to an intake bottom dead center during a single engine start as compared to the initial timing. The start control section is configured to adjust the output of the electric motor as the close timing of the intake valve changes from the initial timing to the start timing during the single engine start.

    摘要: In combustion control apparatus and method for a spark-ignited internal combustion engine, a counter is set to correspond to a drive time duration from a time at which a combustion drive state of the engine is started to be in a stratified combustion drive state to a time immediately before a smolder of a spark plug occurs in a state of which a spark is emitted between an outer electrode of the spark plug and a carbon deposited on an insulator porcelain thereof, a determination of whether it reaches to a time at which the stratified combustion drive state is inhibited is executed on the basis of a value of the counter, and the combustion drive state is forcibly switched from the stratified combustion drive state to a homogeneous combustion drive state when such a determination is carried out that it reaches to the time at which the stratified combustion drive state is inhibited.

    摘要: A start-up control device of a direct injection engine has a fuel injector (76) for injecting fuel into the engine; and a controller. The controller is programmed to determine the presence of a learned value for calculating on the basis thereof a fuel injection amount during start-up of the engine (10) by means of a stratified charge combustion operation; calculate the fuel injection amount on the basis of the learned value when the learned value is present, and control the fuel injector (76) to inject fuel in the compression stroke to start up the engine (10) by means of a stratified charge combustion operation; and control the fuel injector (76) to inject fuel in the intake stroke of the engine to start up the engine by means of a homogeneous combustion operation when the learned value is absent, and obtain and store the learned value during the homogeneous combustion operation of the engine.
