摘要： A light emitting device includes a mounting substrate having a reflective layer that defines spaced apart anode and cathode pads, and a gap between them. A light emitting diode die is flip-chip mounted on the mounting substrate, such that the anode contact of the LED die is bonded to the anode pad and the cathode contact of the LED die is bonded to the cathode pad. A lens extends from the mounting substrate to surround the LED die. The reflective layer extends on the mounting substrate to cover substantially all of the mounting substrate that lies beneath the lens, excluding the gap, and may also extend beyond the lens.

摘要： A modular illumination system for a gondola display having a power panel that attached over a gondola and includes electrically powered standards for supplying power to a shelf connected to the panel. Shelves having electrically conductive brackets are adapted to interconnect to and be suspended from various corresponding locations along standards. Illumination sources, such as LED strips, are positioned on the shelf and connected to each of the shelf brackets. Each shelf may additionally include one or more auxiliary power outlets attached to the bracket.

摘要： Problems of excessive fading in systems for monitoring single-mode optical fiber for physical disturbances are addressed by launching into the fiber polarized light having at least two different predetermined launch states of polarization whose respective Stokes vectors are linearly-independent of each other; downstream from the first location, receiving the light from the fiber; analyzing the received light using polarization state analyzer means having at least two different analyzer states of polarization that are characterized by respective Stokes vectors that are linearly-independent of each other and detecting the analyzed light to provide corresponding detection signals; deriving from the detection signals measures of changes in polarization transformation properties of the fiber between different times that are substantially independent of said launch states and said detection states; and, on the basis of predefined acceptable physical disturbance criteria determining whether or not the measures are indicative of a reportable physical disturbance.
