    摘要: Supported catalyst systems, methods of forming the supported catalyst systems and polymerization processes including the supported catalyst systems are described herein. The methods generally include providing an inorganic support composition, wherein the inorganic support composition comprises aluminum, fluorine and silica and contacting the inorganic support composition with a transition metal compound to form a supported catalyst system, wherein the transition metal compound is represented by the formula [L]mM[A]n; wherein L is a bulky ligand, A is a leaving group, M is a transition metal and m and n are such that a total ligand valency corresponds to the transition metal valency. The methods further include contacting the inorganic support composition, the transition metal compound, the supported catalyst system or combinations thereof with at least one compound represented by the formula XRn, wherein X is selected from Group 12 to 13 metals, lanthanide series metals or combinations thereof and each R is independently selected from alkyls, alkoxys, aryls, aryloxys, halogens, hydrides, Group 1 or 2 metals, organic nitrogen compounds, organic phosphorous compounds and combinations thereof and n is from 2 to 5.

    摘要: A silica supported catalyst system can be prepared that includes the product of admixing a magnesium alkoxide with a group 4, 5, or 6 transition metal complex to form a magnesium transition metal alkoxide adduct having the general formula: MgM(OR)2(OR1)pClq wherein M is a group 4, 5, or 6 transition metal; R is an alkyl or aryl moiety; R1 is a alkyl or aryl moiety having from 1 to 10 carbons, and p and q are 0 or an integer such that p+q equals the highest formal oxidation state of M; contacting the magnesium transition metal alkoxide adduct with a silica template to form a silica supported catalyst precursor; contacting the silica supported catalyst precursor chlorinating agent to form a chlorinated catalyst precursor; and contacting the chlorinated catalyst precursor with an aluminum alkyl to form a silica supported catalyst.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention generally include multi-component catalyst systems, polymerization processes and heterophasic copolymers formed by the processes. The multi-component catalyst system generally includes a first catalyst component selected from Ziegler-Natta catalyst systems including a diether internal electron donor and a metallocene catalyst represented by the general formula XCpACpBMAn, wherein X is a structural bridge, CpA and CpB each denote a cyclopentadienyl group or derivatives thereof, each being the same or different and which may be either substituted or unsubstituted, M is a transition metal and A is an alkyl, hydrocarbyl or halogen group and n is an integer between 0 and 4. The multi-component catalyst system further includes a second catalyst component generally represented by the formula XCpACpBMAn, wherein X is a structural bridge, CpA and CpB each denote a cyclopentadienyl group or derivatives thereof, each being the same or different and which may be either substituted or unsubstituted, M is a transition metal and A is an alkyl, hydrocarbyl or halogen group and n is an integer between 0 and 4 and wherein the second catalyst component exhibits a higher ethylene response than the first catalyst component.
