The present invention relates to a catalyst, in particular to a three-way diesel catalyst, for the treatment of a diesel exhaust gas, the catalyst comprising a substrate and two specific coatings disposed thereon, wherein the first coating particularly comprises a first platinum group metal component supported on a first oxidic support material, a second platinum group metal component supported on a second oxidic support material, and a first oxygen storage component, wherein at least 30 weight-% of the first oxygen storage component consist of cerium oxide, calculated as CeOa, and wherein the second coating particularly comprises a third platinum group metal component and a fourth platinum group metal component, wherein the third platinum group metal component and the fourth platinum group metal component are supported on a third oxidic support material. Further, a process for the preparation of such a catalyst is disclosed as well as a use thereof.

The present invention relates to a system for the treatment of an exhaust gas of a diesel combustion engine, a process for preparation of such a system, and a use thereof. In particular, said system comprises a NOx adsorber component and a lean NOx trap component, wherein the NOx adsorber component is comprised in a first catalyst comprising a first substrate and a first coating comprising a platinum group metal supported on a zeolitic material; and wherein the lean NOx trap component is comprised in a second catalyst comprising a second substrate and a second coating comprising Pt and Pd both supported on a specific first non-zeolitic oxidic support material, wherein in said system the NOx adsorber component is arranged upstream of the lean NOx trap component.

The present invention relates to catalyzed soot filter comprising a porous wall flow substrate, a catalyst for selective catalytic reduction (SCR), a palladium component, and a platinum component, the wall flow substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end, a substrate axial length extending between the inlet end and the outlet end, and a plurality of channels defined by internal walls of the wall flow substrate, wherein the plurality of channels comprise inlet channels having an open inlet end and a closed outlet end, and outlet channels having a closed inlet end and an open outlet end, and the SCR catalyst is provided on the entire surface of the inlet channel walls and on at least a portion of the surface of the pores within the channel walls underneath the surface of the channel walls coated with the SCR catalyst.

A lean NOx trap composition for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions, such as the oxidation of unburned hydrocarbons (HC), and carbon monoxide (CO), and the trapping and reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is disclosed. The lean NOx trap composition can have a washcoat layer on a carrier substrate including a first support material comprising greater than 50% by weight of a reducible metal oxide; 10 to 30% by weight of alkaline earth metal supported on a second support material comprising a refractory metal oxide and 50% or less by weight of a reducible metal oxide and; and a platinum group metal component supported on at least one of the first support material and/or the second support material. A portion of the first support material may further include 0.5% to 10% by weight of an alkaline earth metal.

Further, the present invention relates a process for preparing such a system and use thereof.
