Abstract:
Provided are drill stem assemblies with ultra-low friction coatings for subterraneous drilling operations. In one form, the coated drill stem assemblies for subterraneous rotary drilling operations include a body assembly with an exposed outer surface including a drill string coupled to a bottom hole assembly, a coiled tubing coupled to a bottom hole assembly, or a casing string coupled to a bottom hole assembly and an ultra-low friction coating on at least a portion of the exposed outer surface of the body assembly, hardbanding on at least a portion of the exposed outer surface of the body assembly, an ultra-low friction coating on at least a portion of the hardbanding, wherein the ultra-low friction coating comprises one or more ultra-low friction layers, and one or more buttering layers interposed between the hardbanding and the ultra-low friction coating. The coated drill stem assemblies disclosed herein provide for reduced friction, vibration (stick-slip and torsional), abrasion, and wear during straight hole or directional drilling to allow for improved rates of penetration and enable ultra-extended reach drilling with existing top drives.

The server 200 is equipped with a control section 201, a terminal control section 202, a database RAM section 203, a signal conversion control section 204, an ad hoc TX 205, an ad hoc RX 206, a radio TX 207, and a radio RX 208; mobile radio terminals 110 and 120 are equipped with a terminal function control section 111, a peripheral section 112, an ad hoc TX 113, an ad hoc RX 114, a radio TX 115, and a radio RX 116; and server 200 constructs a radio ad hoc network by means of terminal-server connection, and also transmits a control signal including inhibition of connection to a base station 300, and establishes ad hoc network connection on receiving a control signal from server 200.
Abstract:
A media gateway and a communication system including the media gateway are disclosed. The media gateway includes at least one remote module and a central module. The at least one remote module is disposed in proximity to a private branch exchange (PBX) for converting format of a media stream and a signaling stream. The central module is disposed in proximity to a packet switched network side and communicates with the at least one remote module for transporting the media stream and the signaling stream between the at least one remote module and the packet switched network based on a control signal from a media gateway controller (MGC).
Abstract:
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques are described to generate representations of molecules having one or more targeted properties. In one or more examples, an autoencoder can be trained to generate a latent space that represents a number of molecules. The latent space can be used to train a property prediction network that includes a number of property predictors. A latent space optimization process can use the property predictors to identify regions of the latent space that represent molecules having the one or more targeted properties.
Abstract:
Various techniques for identifying a target worker group are described herein. In one example, a method includes detecting a response to a task from each worker in a group of workers and detecting a set of characteristics that correspond to each worker, wherein each characteristic comprises at least one attribute. The method can also include detecting a first attribute that corresponds to workers that provide responses with an accuracy above a threshold value. Furthermore, the method can include identifying the target worker group, the target worker group comprising the workers corresponding to the detected first attribute. The method may also include sending an additional task to the target worker group.

A method of pre-stack two-dimension-like transformation of three-dimensional seismic record is accomplished by the following steps: acquiring 3D seismic data, and arranging them according to a shot gather; calculating the offsets of all the receiver points from the first receiver line of the first shot; making a straight line (L2′) which connects the shot point (S) and the receiver point (R1) of the smallest offset as the transformed coordinate axis, and making the shot point (S) as the center, drawing circles whose radii are the offsets (offseti) of each receiver point, then rotating each receiver point to the straight line (L2′), thereby accomplishing the two-dimension-like transformation of all the receiver lines of the shot, and getting three-dimensional seismic data graph with high precision; and then making the processing of the noise elimination and static correction on the three-dimensional seismic record using conventional technique.

Methods and systems may provide for invoking a plurality of parallel instances of a hardware video encoder, wherein the plurality of parallel instances includes a first encoder instance and a second encoder instance. Additionally, the first encoder instance may be used to make a scene change determination and a motion level determination with respect to the video content. In one example, the second encoder instance is used to encode the video content based on the scene change determination and the motion level determination.

A cuff includes a cuff main body portion and a gripping portion provided on an outer peripheral surface of the cuff main body portion. The cuff main body portion includes an air bladder, a tightening belt wrapped around an outer side of the air bladder, and a wrapping length adjustment mechanism for variably adjusting a wrapping length of the tightening belt. The wrapping length adjustment mechanism has a bias spring for pulling and biasing the tightening belt in a direction in which the wrapping length of the tightening belt is shortened, a first restriction portion for restricting extension of the wrapping length, and a second restriction portion for restricting shortening of the wrapping length. The gripping portion includes a push button for switching actions of the two restriction portions. In this configuration, the cuff may be easily attached to a measurement site regardless of the circumferential length of the site.
