The system may also include a plurality of electrodes disposed along the elongated lead and configured to deliver electric stimulation to an area of a patient's body. The plurality of electrodes may comprise at least one transmitting electrode in communication with the controller, wherein the at least one transmitting electrode is configured to transmit an electric signal to one or more other electrodes. The controller may be configured to control operation of the at least one transmitting electrode.

摘要： A septumless implantable access device suitable for delivering a liquid medication to a site remote from the site of implantation is disclosed. The device includes a biocompatible housing having at least one resealable entry port and a cylindrical reservoir in communication with the entry port. An outlet extends from the reservoir to the housing. A filter assembly is disposed within the reservoir for removing particulate material from fluid injected into the entry port. The implantable access device may also include an infusion pump apparatus coupled to the access device.

A shoulder prosthesis includes a humeral member with a humeral joint surface and a humeral fixation member and a glenoid member comprising a glenoid body with a glenoid joint surface, and a glenoid fixation member attaching the glenoid body to a scapula. The glenoid fixation member may be attached orthogonally to the scapula. A dampener may be included to absorb loads that may loosen one or more components of the prosthesis.

摘要： Devices and methods for penetrating from a vessel lumen in which a catheter device is positioned to a target location outside of that vessel lumen. A tissue penetrator advances from a catheter positioned within the vessel lumen to the target location when properly aimed. An imaging transducer fixedly mounted on or within the catheter body provides an imaging signal from which an image of the target location can be obtained. An imageable marker may be present on the catheter to form on the image obtainable from the imaging signal to predict the path that will be followed by the tissue penetrator when the tissue penetrator exits from the catheter. Alternatively, or addition thereto, the imaging transducer may comprise a plurality of imaging elements which are located so that the penetrator path indication can be obtained electronically without use of an imageable marker on the catheter.

An electrical potential is applied between the at least one nozzle and either the tubular member or fluid from the fluid source. The electrical potential draws at least one fiber from the at least one nozzle to the tubular member.
