    摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for radar systems using multiple pulses that are shorter than the expected range delay extent of the target to be imaged. In one implementation, a method for performing radar includes the steps of: transmitting a plurality of pulses, each pulse having a different center frequency and a time duration shorter than an expected range delay extent of a target, wherein a total bandwidth is defined by a bandwidth occupied by the plurality of pulses; receiving reflections of the plurality of pulses; and performing pulse compression on the received pulse reflections to generate a detection signal having a radar resolution approximately equivalent to the transmission and reception of a single pulse having the total bandwidth. In preferred form, the pulses comprise ultrawideband (UWB) pulses each occupying a sub-band of the overall system bandwidth.

The total of the room areas and the circulation loss are added to determine a net usable space required by the user. The net usable amount of space is multiplied by the subject building's inefficiency measure to identify the amount of rentable space necessary given an efficient program, space plan and building. The user's updated, proposed space program is compared to the user's current or original space program to identify efficiency losses. The system may be configured on a network computer system or a standalone computer.

    摘要： A wear gauge confirms the acceptability of an outside diameter of a down hole drilling tool for down hole service. An embodiment of the wear gauge has two arcuate members pivotally connected in overlapping attachment, where each arcuate member has opposing ends and an arc length is defined between the two ends. Each of the opposing ends has an aperture penetrating through the width of the arcuate member. The free ends may be pivoted together into an overlapping configuration into a closed position. When in the closed position, the two arcuate members define a circle. The diameter of the circle is certified to be a specific value within a designated tolerance.
