摘要: This invention describes apparatus for pressurization and filtration of contaminated air for a vehicle or mobile dwelling capable of containing several persons, especially if the contamination is of nuclear, biological and chemical origin. The apparatus comprises an air loop extending between a contaminated air intake and a processed air outlet, comprising two cyclone precleaners, a filter and an air circulation blower. The apparatus also comprises a dust loop extending between the dust outlets of the prefilters and a dust outlet and comprising a dust discharge blower. In this apparatus, the blowers are coupled to an identical driving device, and the intake of the first blower is situated close to the air outlets of the cyclone precleaners.

摘要: In a method of manufacturing a transparent polymer material article having a refractive index gradient the polymer base material is caused to absorb a swelling agent including at least a monomer adapted to yield a polymer having a refractive index different than that of the polymer base material. A first preform having a first geometry is formed from the polymer base material sufficiently polymerized for the first preform to be self-supporting. A confinement space is defined between the first preform and an abutment member having facing it a second geometry at least partly different than the first geometry and having a greater volume than the latter. The first preform is brought into contact in the confinement space with a sufficient quantity of swelling agent for the swelling to which it is then subject to cause it to be urged actively into contact with all points of the second geometry. The resulting polymer material is polymerized and the second preform thus obtained is machined, if necessary, to the required final geometry of the required article. The method finds an application in the manufacture of ophthalmic lenses.

摘要: The invention describes a nozzle and a burner for oil-well tests comprising a plurality of nozzles. The nozzle comprises means for injecting an air-oil mixture to be burnt in the direction of a combustion zone, the flow of air at the outlet of the nozzle allowing the air in the air-oil mixture to create an air induction effect, that is to say entrainment of air, which is sufficient along the whole length of the jet to ensure the combustion.

摘要: For generating heat, with reduced emission of sulphur and nitrogen oxides, a fuel containing sulphur oxides and nitrogen is effected, the combustion burned and particles of a fresh absorbent are fed into a turbulent zone (9) upstream of an adiabatic desulphurisation zone (8); and the mixture produced is passed into a heat recovery zone (16). Part of the absorbent is recycled to the desulphurisation zone, and the flow rate of fresh absorbent and recycled absorbent is adjusted so that the temperature of that zone is from 750.degree. to 1000.degree. C.

摘要: A PIN photodiode having a low leakage current comprises a substrate (10) of indium phosphide (InP) which is n.sup.30 doped and on whose first surface is formed a layer (11) of indium phosphide (InP) which is n.sup.- doped and on which is disposed a MESA structure formed by a layer (b 12) of gallium indium arsenide (InGaAs) which is n.sup.- doped and is moreover constituted by a layer (13, 113, 213) of the p.sup.+ type formed at the surface, at the edges and along the circumference of the MESA structure. The structure further comprises a metallic contact (22) formed on the second surface of the substrate and an ohmic contact (21) formed on a part of the p.sup.+ layer. The invention is characterized in that the n.sup.- doping of the layer of indium phosphide (InP) (11) is chosen to be lower than the n.sup.- doping of the layer of gallium indium arsenide (InGaAs) (12), and in that the ohmic contact (21) is formed on a part (213) of the p.sup.+ zone located in the layer of indium phosphide (InP) (11) along the circumference of the MESA structure.
