摘要: A system for interacting with an autonomous vehicle includes a sensor included in the autonomous vehicle and configured to generate sensor data corresponding to a projected hailing area; a projection system included in the autonomous vehicle and configured to generate the projected hailing area on a surface proximate the autonomous vehicle; and a processor included in the autonomous vehicle and configured to execute instructions to: analyze the sensor data to detect the person within the projected hailing area; and in response to detecting the person within the projected hailing area, cause an acknowledgment indicator to be outputted.

摘要: A head-worn audio system includes a first support frame; a first contact element coupled to the first support frame and configured to contact a first portion of a head of a user; a first actuator coupled to the first support frame and the first contact element; and a processor that is communicatively coupled to the first actuator and is configured to: generate a first actuator signal based on first information that is to be conveyed to the user; and transmit the first actuator signal to the first actuator, wherein the first actuator generates a first force on the first contact element based on the first actuator signal, the first force corresponding to the information to be conveyed to the user.

摘要: In one embodiment of the present invention, a central communications controller creates customized hearing experiences without unnecessarily encumbering listeners. In operation, for each listener, the central communications controller selects distracting and/or confidential sounds and generates a cancellation signal that substantially attenuates (i.e., “cancels out”) the selected sounds without corrupting remaining sounds. To selectively filter the sounds for a listener, the central communications controller leverages one or more highly directional loudspeakers to deliver the cancellation signal directly to the ears corresponding to the listener. More specifically, for a given ear, the central communications controller transmits the cancellation signal to a highly direction loudspeaker that targets the location of the ear. In this fashion, the central communications controller provides a listener-customized listening experience—selectively cancelling sounds at Identify sounds to be suppressed and generate ears—without relying on constraining sound delivery systems such as headphones, in-ear auditory devices, and the like.

摘要: In various embodiments, a sound modification application selectively modifies one or more sounds included in one or more audio signals. In operation, the sound modification application determines classifications associated with multiple sounds included in one or more audio signals. The sound modification application selects a first frequency sub-band of a first sound included in the multiple sounds based on a first classification associated with the first sound. The sound modification application then modifies the first frequency sub-band of the first sound, without modifying at least a second frequency sub-band of the first sound, to generate a modified audio signal.

摘要: Techniques for modifying sound based on a direction of interest include determining a direction of interest associated with a user; receiving a set of audio signals associated with the direction of interest; determining one or more salient frequency bands within the set of audio signals; in response to receiving a command from the user to enhance or suppress the set of audio signals, enhancing or suppressing a portion of the set of audio signals corresponding to the one or more salient frequency bands to create a modified set of audio signals; and outputting the modified set of audio signals.
