摘要： A replicated server discovery (“RSD”) provides optimal or best-replicated servers to Web users without users' intervention. In one embodiment, the RSD is configured to receive server addresses using Domain Name System (“DNS”) lookup, where the server addresses include replicated server addresses. The RSD further records responses from servers addressed by the server addresses and then sorts the server addresses according to the responses and data types involved in transactions.

摘要： A system and method for data transmission and power supply capability over an audio jack for mobile devices are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: a peripheral device including an energy storage component, a microphone using a microphone bias voltage, and a select switch configured to provide a first switch position wherein charging of the energy storage component using the microphone bias voltage via the microphone conductor is enabled, the select switch being configured provide a second switch position wherein charging of the energy storage component using the microphone bias voltage via the microphone conductor is disabled; and a mobile device and an application (app) executable in the mobile device to produce a switching tone on the audio signal conductor of the audio jack, the switching tone causing the select switch to transition to the first switch position or the second switch position.

摘要： Mobile device rejection of unintentional sensor contact. An embodiment of a mobile device includes a first touch sensor to detect contact by a user of the mobile device for input of gestures by the user, a memory to store indicators of unintentional contact to the first touch sensor, and a processor to evaluate contact to the first touch sensor. The processor compares a contact with the first touch sensor to the indicators of unintentional contact to determine if the contact is unintentional, and the mobile device rejects the contact as an input to the mobile device if the contact is determined to be unintentional and accepts the contact as an input to the mobile device if the contact is determined to be intentional.

摘要： The present disclosure describes a number of embodiments related to devices, systems, and methods locating a an object using ultra-wide band (UWB) radio transceivers embedded in carpet or other flexible material that may be rolled up and moved to various locations. Once in a location, the carpet may be unrolled and the multiple embedded radio transceivers may receive a signal from a tag attached to the object sending UWB radio signals. Based on the signals received by the UWB radio transceivers, various processes including time-difference on arrival, time-of-flight, and phase shift may be used to determine the location or the movement of the object.

The method includes attaching a first set of conductive traces to a stretchable member; attaching a first electronic component to the first set of conductive traces; adding a first set of flexible conductors to the stretchable member such that the first set of flexible conductors is electrically connected to the first set of conductive traces; adding stretchable material to the stretchable member such that the first set of conductive traces is surrounded by the stretchable member; forming an opening in the stretchable member that exposes the first set of conductive traces; and attaching a second set of conductive traces to the stretchable member such that the second set of conductive traces fills the opening to form a via in the stretchable member that electrically connects the first set of conductive traces with the second set of conductive traces.
