摘要: A method of determining lighting contributions of elements of a lighting component includes obtaining optical data representative of light output of the lighting component. Relative intensity data may be calculated from the optical data, and may indicate intensity differences in the light output of the lighting component as compared to that of a reference component. An optical property of an element of the lighting component is determined based on a comparison of the optical data with that of the reference component, where the reference component includes at least one reference element. Related systems and apparatus are also discussed.

摘要: A light emitting diode is disclosed. The diode includes a package support and a semiconductor chip on the package support, with the chip including an active region that emits light in the visible portion of the spectrum. Metal contacts are in electrical communication with the chip on the package. A substantially transparent encapsulant covers the chip in the package. A phosphor in the encapsulant emits a frequency in the visible spectrum different from the frequency emitted by the chip and in response to the wavelength emitted by the chip. A display element is also disclosed that combines the light emitting diode and a planar display element. The combination includes a substantially planar display element with the light emitting diode positioned on the perimeter of the display element and with the package support directing the output of the diode substantially parallel to the plane of the display element.

摘要: A system and method for generating and updating a file system on a client computer. An original file system may be compared to an updated file system and the differences between the two file systems may be defined in specific data blocks. The differences may include new data blocks, modified data blocks, and data blocks that have been deleted. The new data blocks or modified data blocks may be sent to the client computer along with reference file updates to update the file system on the client computer. A virtual file system on the client computer may be created using the set of data blocks and the reference files to point to which data blocks contain the data for specific files. As the file system is updated, new data blocks and modified data blocks may replace deleted data blocks in the set of data blocks.

摘要: Devices and methods for sensing the charge condition of a mixed stream of aggregant and aqueous dispersion of charged particles are based on sensing changes in the potential of an electrode contacting the stream. Sensing the changes in potential permits better control of aggregation in raw water and effluent treatments.
