摘要: A process for growing a crystal of a nitride semiconductor in which after the step of mounting a substrate (12) in a reaction tube (11), the step of feeding a first material gas containing a Group 3 element onto the substrate in the reaction tube and the step of feeding a second material gas containing elemental nitrogen onto the substrate in the reaction tube are carried out alternately to deposit a nitride semiconductor crystal directly on the substrate. The number of moles of the elemental nitrogen contained in the second material gas has a ratio of 200 or more to the number of moles of the Group 3 element in the first material gas.

摘要: A reading device, an image forming apparatus, and a method of correction. The reading device includes a scanner configured to read an image in a first wavelength range and an image in a second wavelength range from light reflected by a surface of a recording medium, a detector configured to detect a change from a reference position in a reading-depth direction when the surface of the recording medium is read by the scanner, based on an amount of characteristic read from the image in the second wavelength range, and a corrector configured to correct the image in the first wavelength range based on the change detected by the detector. The image forming apparatus includes the reading device, and an image forming device configured to form an image corrected by the corrector of the reading device on a recording medium. The method includes reading the image in the first wavelength.

摘要: An image processing apparatus includes an image forming device, a reading device, and circuitry. The image forming device is configured to form a first pattern on a recording medium. The first pattern includes a plurality of patches in a plurality of tones. The reading device is configured to read the first pattern. The circuitry is configured to acquire read data of the first pattern from the reading device. The read data includes red, green, and blue (RGB) color space values. The circuitry is further configured to: correct the read data based on information indicating a relationship between a color and a position in the first pattern to reduce variation in readings due to a read position of the first pattern; convert the read data corrected into device-independent data; and adjust a color reproduction characteristic of the image forming device based on the device-independent data.

摘要: An image reader includes a reading device to read an image on a recording medium, a first conveying roller pair upstream of the reading device in a conveyance direction of the recording medium, a second conveying roller pair downstream of the reading device in the conveyance direction, to hold the recording medium together with the first conveying roller pair to convey the recording medium, and a driver to drive the first conveying roller pair and the second conveying roller pair so that a relative relation between a reading position of the reading device and the recording medium held by the first conveying roller pair and the second conveying roller pair is constant. The reading device determines that the image read from the recording medium is effective in a period in which the relative relation is constant.

摘要: A photoelectric conversion device includes a plurality of light receiving elements, a plurality of A/D conversion units, and an offset giving unit. The light receiving elements are arrayed in one direction and each convert a light signal into an electrical signal. The A/D conversion units perform A/D conversion on the electrical signals output from the light receiving elements. The offset giving unit gives an offset voltage of a certain level to the electrical signals output from the light receiving elements without flowing a steady current before the electrical signals are input into the A/D conversion units.
