    摘要: An internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes a piston reciprocally movable within a cylinder for affording rotational motions to a crankshaft, a combustion chamber formed among the piston, the cylinder and a cylinder head, an intake valve mechanism for opening and closing an intake passage to be communicated with the combustion chamber, igniting means having its igniting portion facing the combustion chamber, fuel supply means for supplying a predetermined quantity of fuel toward a predetermined wall of the combustion chamber, which is heated to a predetermined high temperature by the combustion in the combustion chamber, and an exhaust valve mechanism for opening and closing an exhaust passage to be communicated with the combustion chamber. During the running operation, the fuel is brought by the fuel supply means into contact with the predetermined wall having the predetermined high temperature of the combustion chamber, which is evaporated from the surface of the wall, so that the gasification of the fuel is promoted to effect combustion with high efficiency and to prevent emission of unburned noxious contents such as hydrocarbons.

    摘要: According to the present invention, there is provided a fuel supply system employing an ultrasonic vibratory member of a hollow cylindrically shaped body, comprising a fuel tank for storing fuel therein; a pressurizing and regulating means for pressurizing the fuel supplied from the fuel tank to a predetermined pressure level and regulating the flow rate of the fuel; an ultrasonic wave generating means comprising an ultrasonic wave transducer connected to an ultrasonic wave oscillator for transforming an electric oscillation into mechanical vibrations, a mechanical vibration amplifying portion which is integrally secured to the ultrasonic wave transducer, and an ultrasonic vibratory member of a hollow cylindrically shaped body, having a predetermined length and diameter, which is integrally secured to an output end of the mechanical vibration amplifying portion, with the axis of the member being directed perpendicularly to the axis of the mechanical vibration amplifying portion; and liquid film forming means, connected to the pressurizing and regulating means, having an exit provided at the position adjacent to the ultrasonic vibratory member of the hollow cylindrically shaped body, forming a thin film of supplied fuel and supplying the fuel film from the exit to the ultrasonic vibratory member of the hollow cylindrically shaped body.

    摘要: A swirl injection valve includes: a nozzle body including a hollow cylindrical body having a hole and a bottom portion on which a nozzle port and a valve seat are formed; a needle valve member, slidably inserted and reciprocally moved within the hole of the nozzle body, having a tip portion for seating on the valve seat and controlling the opening and closing of the nozzle port; a swirl chamber formed upstream of the nozzle port and defined between an inner wall of the nozzle body and an outer wall of the needle valve member; a fuel supply passage formed within the nozzle body and connected to a fuel supply source; and inclined passage comprising at least one short passage connected to the swirl chamber and the fuel supply passage and tangentially opened to the swirl chamber at a predetermined inclined angle. The fuel is tangentially supplied from the inclined passage to the swirl chamber without pressure loss. Thus the intense swirling flow of the fuel is formed within the swirl chamber and injected from the nozzle port, thereby stably and efficiently injecting the fuel at a predetermined spray angle into extremely fine particle.

    摘要: A spill type swirl injector includes a nozzle body, an injection port, a pressurized fluid induction passage, a valve assembly, a swirl chamber, two tangential pressurized fluid supply passages and a spill assembly including two spill openings provided on an outer cylindrical wall of a movable member of the valve assembly and opened to inner side of the swirl chamber. An axial hole provided in the movable member of the valve assembly and in the nozzle body and discharge passage assembly is connected to a pressurized fluid supply source, thereby spilling a predetermined quantity of the pressurized fluid from the inner side of the swirl chamber through the spill opening, axial hole and spill passage assembly. The spill type swirl injector immediately injects the fluid in the form of a liquid film flow having a sufficiently high swirling velocity, after the valve is opened, so that the sprayed liquid droplets are remarkably fine and uniform and the atomizing characteristics and response of the atomization to the injection pressure are improved in comparison with prior spill type swirl injectors.
