    摘要: An electromagnetic clutch for a compressor includes a rotor, an armature, an electromagnetic coil for bringing the rotor into contact with the armature and for separating the rotor from the armature, and a temperature detection device, such as a temperature fuse or a temperature switch, or both, for detecting an excessive increase in temperature ascribed to slippage between the rotor and the armature or a temperature increase of refrigerant discharged from the compressor. An electric circuit of the temperature detection device is separated from the electric circuit of the electromagnetic coil. An abnormal condition may be accurately detected by the separate circuit structure, and a proper response to the abnormal condition may be taken quickly.

    摘要: A hybrid compressor includes a first compression mechanism, which is driven by a first drive source, and a second compression mechanism, which is driven by a second drive source, and a second radial axis of a second housing of the second compression mechanism is offset relative to a first radial axis of a first housing of the first compression mechanism, or a second diameter of the second housing of the second compression mechanism is less than a first diameter of the first housing of the first compression mechanism, or both. When a significant external force is applied to the front end of a vehicle containing the compressor, most of the external force may be absorbed by the first compression mechanism portion of the compressor, thereby reducing or avoiding damage to the second compression mechanism. In particular, when the second drive source is an incorporated electric motor, damage to the electric motor may be reduced or avoided.

    摘要: A stop control system for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of restarting the engine automatically stopped, in optimum timing, thereby making it possible to positively prevent occurrence of fogging of window glass of a vehicle compartment and improve fuel economy. The engine is connected to a compressor of an air conditioner. According to the stop control system, during idle stop, window glass temperature is calculated, and according to the calculated window glass temperature, limit humidity below which fogging of the window glass does not occur is set. When determining compartment humidity becomes equal to or higher than the limit humidity, the idle stop is terminated and the engine is restarted. When the weather is rainy or snowy, the determining compartment humidity is corrected. When vehicle compartment temperature is not lower than a first predetermined temperature, the window glass temperature is corrected.

    摘要: A stop control system for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of ensuring the comfort of vehicle occupants in a vehicle compartment and improving the fuel economy of the engine along with automatic stoppage of the engine during both a cooling operation and a heating operation of an air conditioner. When the engine is automatically stopped, the stop control system sets a target blowout temperature which is a target value of the temperature of air blown out from the air conditioner into a vehicle compartment, and acquires a fan voltage indicative of the air volume blown by a fan of the air conditioner. Further, the stop control system calculates stop allowable time based on the target blowout temperature and the fan voltage, and restarts the engine when engine stoppage time period (stoppage time period-counting timer value) has reached the stop allowable time.
