Abstract: An object of the present invention is to safely and efficiently execute operation such as cargo handling in a cargo vehicle such as an automatic forklift 1. In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, a laser scanner 2 that monitors a vehicle safety monitoring range 4 and laser curtains 21 that monitor a safety monitoring area 211 are prepared, and these are caused to function in cooperation with each other according to a status of operation of the automatic forklift 1. Abstract: A vehicle control system which can ensure high reliability, real-time processing, and expandability with a simplified ECU configuration and a low cost by backing up an error through coordination in the entire system without increasing a degree of redundancy of individual controllers beyond the least necessary level.
