摘要: According to embodiments, a membrane with a flat or curved surface is provided for protection of intraocular tissues. The membrane can be used to cover the cornea for protecting corneal endothelial cells, to cover the anterior and posterior surface of the iris, or to cover the surface of the posterior capsule for separating the intraocular tissues. The membrane has a layered structure, which is composed of a collagen and a hydrophilic biopolymer or an organic polymer material. In particular, the membrane has high transparency and high water retention in a wet state.

摘要: An expandable orthopedic implant includes a casing pipe, a shaft, a first expandable element and a first link lever. The casing pipe has a first opening, a second opening and an axis passing through the first and second opening. The casing pipe sheathes one end of the shaft, and the other end of the shaft has a top portion disposed out of the first opening. The first expandable element has a first terminal pivoted on the casing pipe and a second terminal. The first link lever has a proximal end pivoted to the top portion and a distal end pivoted to the second terminal. When the top portion is driven moving away from the first opening along an extending direction of the axis, the first link-lever can be pushed by the shaft to enact the second terminal moving away from the axis along a direction perpendicular to the axis.

摘要: A bionic fixing apparatus is provided. The bionic fixing apparatus includes a body having a through hole and at least one slit. The through hole penetrates the body from the top surface to the bottom surface to form a top opening and a bottom opening. An inner diameter of the top opening is larger than an inner diameter of the bottom opening. The slit is connected to the bottom opening and extends upwardly from the bottom surface of the body, such that the body has a flexible bottom portion.

摘要: A method of preparing fiber includes blending bio-compatible ceramic powder and first polyester to form a ceramic powder composition, wherein the bio-compatible ceramic powder and the first polyester have a weight ratio of 10:90 to 60:40. The method also spins the composite material to form a fiber. The first polyester has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of 0.35 dL/g to 0.55 dL/g, and the second polyester has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of 0.6 dL/g to 0.8 g/dL. The fiber can be woven to form an artificial ligament/tendon.
