摘要: An RF modulator includes a C/L delay compensation function of compensating for a delay of a luminance signal with respect to a chrominance signal occurring during demodulating a video signal in a TV set. The RF modulator includes a C/L delay compensation unit delaying a luminance signal by 170 nsec and combining the delayed luminance signal with a chrominance signal to output a composite image signal having a C/l delay of −170 nsec and a frequency modulation unit modulating the video signal received from the C/L delay compensation unit into a high frequency signal of a predetermined broadcasting channel in a single module or package. The RF modulator outputs a video signal having the luminance signal delayed by 170 nsec with respect to the chrominance signal and complies with a C/L delay standard without adding any additional C/L delay compensation unit to the RF modulator.

摘要: The present system relates to a system architecture that uses a single electron transistor (SET) to analyze base sequences of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) at ultra high speed in real time. DNA represents the entire body of genetic information and consists of nucleotide units. There are a total of four types of nucleotides, and each nucleotide consists of an identical pentose (deoxyribose), phosphate group, and one of four types of bases (Adenine: A, Guanine: G, Cytosine: C, Thymine: T). A and G are purines having a bicyclic structure while C and T are pyrimidines having a monocyclic structure. Each has a different atomic arrangement, which signifies a different charge distribution from one another. Therefore, a system comprising a single electron transistor that is very sensitive to charges, a probe of a very small size that reacts to one nucleotide very effectively, and an extended gate that connects the SET with the probe, can be used to analyze DNA base sequences at ultra high speed in real time.

摘要: A polarizing element used for LCD projectors or LCD monitors, which includes a polarized beam separating and composing prism and either a twisted nematic (TN) liquid crystal or an 1/2 or 1/4 wavelength plate, thereby being capable of not only doubling the efficiency of the light source, but also obtaining a uniform intensity of light. The polarized beam separating and composing prism serves to transmit light beams being parallel to the polarization direction of the polarizer therethrough while shielding light beams being non-parallel to the polarization direction of the polarizer. With such a construction, it is possible to double the light efficiency while using the same light source. Where the polarizing element is applied to an optical system, certain elements of the optical system such as a reflecting mirror and condenser lens can have a reduced size which corresponds to 1/2 of the size of each LCD panel. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve an easy design and a uniformness in the intensity of composed light beams resulting in an increase in light efficiency.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for producing hollow noodles, and more specifically to one in which a gelatinized doughy substance is passed through a die designed to form a hollow area, such that the noodles which have passed therethrough have a tubular hollow area on the inside and hence it is possible to produce noodles which have a dramatically reduced cooking time and readily allow soap and sauces to penetrate the noodle during cooking and so enhance the taste thereof. Further, it is possible to produce noodles in which the formation of the hollow causes the noodle surface area to be increased and, as a result, there is rapid evaporation of the water present on the surface of the noodle which is being gelatinized and injected, and hence noodle stickiness is dramatically improved and consequently noodle sticking is reduced.
