The surface of said one (11) of the substrates has a roughened area (11b) which is roughened and a flat area (11a) which is flat and surrounds the roughened area (11b). The alignment film (116) is formed in the roughened area (11b), and the sealing material (13) is formed in the flat area (11a).

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device is provided with a plurality of color filters 12R, 12G, and 12B corresponding to colors of red base, green base, and blue base, respectively, and a reflection layer 22 placed on the side opposite to observation side with respect to a liquid crystal and color filters 12. A plurality of fine crest portions and trough portions are formed on the surface of the reflection layer 22. In the reflection layer 22, the mirror reflectivity of the region facing the color filter of at least one color is different from the mirror reflectivities of the regions facing the color filters of the other colors. Specifically, the mirror reflectivity of the region facing the blue-based color filter 12B in the reflection layer 22 is higher than the mirror reflectivities of the regions facing the red-based and green-based color filters 12R and 12G in the reflection layer 22.

    摘要: A liquid crystal device which has a plurality of pixels and which is configured in such a manner that a counter substrate is opposed to a color filter substrate with a liquid crystal interposed therebetween. The color filter substrate has a reflection film on the surface of a substrate body. Blue, green, and red colored layers, are formed on the surface of the reflection film in matrix form so as to correspond to the respective pixels. A light shield layer is formed between the colored layers. Colored layers for color characteristic evaluation and a light shield layer for optical density measurement are provided in an area located outside an effective pixel area of the color filter substrate. The reflection film is not formed between the colored layers for color characteristic evaluation and the substrate body and between the light shield layer for optical density measurement and the substrate body.

    摘要: Light reflecting layers 45a that totally reflect light are provided inside the subpixels 10 disposed in particular regions on an inner face of a TFT array substrate 4, and light reflecting layers 45b that scatter light are provided inside the subpixels 10 other than those. Thanks to this, the reflectance of the light reflecting layers 45a can be rendered different from that of the light reflecting layers 45b. As a result, differences can be created in the display light formed by the light reflecting layers 45a and by the light reflecting layers 45b, by means of the light that is reflected thereat. Thereby, fine adjustment of the display light brightness and contrast is enabled, so that a liquid crystal display device 1 with extensive power of expression and superior display characteristics is provided.

A torque limitation control unit determines from torque control value and vehicular speed whether limiting a torque by the torque control unit should be alleviated, and if so the torque limitation control unit activates a signal for a predetermined period of time. When the signal is activated, the torque control unit stops reducing the torque control value and fixes the torque control value to be constant.
