摘要: Methods are provided for fabricating three-dimensional electrically conductive structures. Three-dimensional electrically conductive microstructures are also provided. The method may include providing a mold having at least one microdepression which defines a three-dimensional structure; filling the microdepression of the mold with at least one substrate material; molding the at least one substrate material to form a substrate; and depositing and patterning of at least one electrically conductive layer either during the molding process or subsequent to the molding process to form an electrically conductive structure. In one embodiment, the three-dimensional electrically conductive microstructure comprises an electrically functional microneedle array comprising two or more microneedles, each including a high aspect ratio, polymeric three dimensional substrate structure which is at least substantially coated by an electrically conductive layer.

摘要: The multilayer film comprises a first outer layer which is heat sealable. The first outer layer comprises from 95 to 100 percent (by weight of the first outer layer) of a first polymer, said first polymer being derived from propylene monomer and optionally one or more comonomers selected from the group consisting of ethylene and C4-C8 alpha olefins. The first polymer should have a melting point of at least 125 C. The multilayer film further comprises an inner portion adjacent to the first outer layer. The inner portion may be a single layer or may comprise several layers. At least one layer of the inner portion comprises an elastomeric propylene based polymer (“EPBP”). Further at least one layer of the inner portion comprises a second polymer, wherein the second polymer is selected from the group consisting of high pressure low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, ethylene acrylic acid copolymers, ethylene (meth)acrylic acid copolymers and combinations thereof. The second polymer may be together with the EPBP in the same layer or may be in a separate layer. It is also contemplated that the inner portion may optionally comprise one or more additional layers, which may or may not contain EPBP or the second polymer. The multilayer film further comprises a second outer layer arranged so that the inner portion is encapsulated between the first outer layer and the second outer layer. The second outer layer comprises a third polymer, wherein said third polymer is selected from the group consisting of homopolymer polypropylene, random copolymer polypropylene and impact copolymer polypropylene and blends thereof.

摘要: The invention relates to radiation curable compositions. The invention provides radiation curable optical fiber primary coating compositions comprising an oligomer, a reactive diluent monomer blend comprising at least two reactive diluents monomers, and at least one photoinitiator, wherein each of said monomers in said blend has the formula (I) wherein x is an integer of from 1 to 6; n is an integer of from 1 to 5; and each Y, which may be the same or different, is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a C1 to C12 alkyl group and an alkarylalkoxylated acrylate radical; and at least one photoinitiator; said reactive diluent monomer blend being substantially free of non-aryl reactive diluent monomers; wherein when an aryl reactive diluent monomer is present that has a molecular weight less than about 300, it is present at no more than about 10 wt. % of the total formulation.

A radiation curable Primary Coating composition comprising: an oligomer; a diluent monomer; a photoinitiator; an antioxidant; and an adhesion promoter; wherein said oligomer is the reaction product of: a hydroxyethyl acrylate; an aromatic isocyanate; an aliphatic isocyanate; a polyol; a catalyst; and an inhibitor, wherein said catalyst is an organo bismuth catalyst; wherein said oligomer has a number average molecular weight of from at least about 4000 g/mol to less than or equal to about 15,000 g/mol; and wherein a cured film of said radiation curable coating composition has a peak tan delta Tg of from about −25° C. to about −45° C.; and a modulus of from about 0.50 MPa to about 1.2 MPa.

摘要: The present invention provides a hydrophilic charged microporous membrane comprising a porous hydrophobic substrate and a coating comprising a charge-providing agent. The present invention further provides a hydrophilic charged membrane comprising a porous hydrophobic substrate and a hydrophilic charge-providing agent distributed within the substrate. The present invention further provides a filter as well as a filter device comprising the inventive hydrophilic charged membrane. The present invention further provides a process for treating a fluid containing bacterial contaminants such as endotoxins comprising contacting the membrane with the fluid to provide a bacterial contaminant depleted fluid.

摘要: The present invention provides a positively charged microporous membrane having a protein binding capacity of about 25 mg/ml or greater comprising a hydrophilic porous substrate and a crosslinked coating that provides a fixed positive charge to the membrane. The present invention further provides a positively charged microporous membrane comprising a porous substrate and a crosslinked coating comprising pendant cationic groups. The membranes of the present invention find use in a variety of applications including ion-exchange chromatography, macromolecular transfer, as well as detection, filtration and purification of biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, endotoxins, and the like.
