摘要: A triggering mechanism for a side airbag has a deformation sensor for determining a rate of deformation. The deformation sensor is made up of a total of two pressure-sensitive sensor elements, which are attached on a firm carrier plate parallel to the outer skin inside the vehicle. Spacer elements support the carrier plate against a structural element running parallel to the outer skin. The pressure-sensitive surface of a first sensor element in this case faces the outer skin and the pressure-sensitive surface of a second sensor element faces the structural element. The spacer elements are designed, for example, using predetermined buckling points, clip elements, etc., in such a manner that they withstand a pressure on the support plate only up to a threshold and, if the threshold is exceeded, yield abruptly. This is so that, in the event of a deformation-induced force effect, the sensor elements respond one after the other. An evaluation circuit checks the time interval between the two sensor signals and, below a critical time, sends a triggering signal to the side airbag.

摘要: A method and system for releasing an airbag in a motor vehicle utilizes an acceleration signal which is measured and processed for the formation of a release criterion. An impact causes an initial increase in the release readiness, which is cancelled after a short period of time if no release has taken place up to that time. In particular in the case of impact processes with moderate acceleration values, such as for example in an offset pole crash, there is the risk that the airbag is released so late that an occupant who has already been substantially displaced forwards towards the steering wheel is additionally endangered by the explosive opening of the airbag. The cancellation of the increased release readiness is controlled by a state variable which corresponds to the forward displacement of an occupant and is obtained by double integration from the acceleration signal with respect to time. The cancellation takes place when the forward displacement exceeds a critical value.

摘要: An active occupant restraint system for a motor vehicle has a central control unit and a plurality of active restraining devices with associated triggering units which are connected to the central control unit for the transmission of ignition information by an ignition bus line system having at least one ring line and/or at least one stub line. The triggering units within a respective ring and/or stub line of the ignition bus line system are arranged as a function of a predeterminable protection significance priority of the restraining devices assigned to the triggering units such that, with a decreasing protection significance priority, they are situated farther away from the central control unit. The occupant restraint system comprises one or more multistage restraining devices with pertaining triggering units, with the triggering unit pertaining to a higher stage of each multistage restraining device arranged in the corresponding ring or stub line closer to the central control unit than the triggering unit pertaining to a lower stage.

摘要: A triggering circuit for a passenger restraint system for motor vehicles is provided with at lest one belt tightener for tightening a safety belt associated with a vehicle seat. A triggering circuit evaluates the acceleration signal from an accelerometer and delivers a triggering signal to the belt tightener when a critical impact is detected. An evaluation channel detects a rear-end collision. In the evaluation channel, on the basis of the acceleration signal that appears in the event of a rear-end collision, a travel signal that characterizes backward displacement of the passenger is determined that permits the triggering signal to be output to the belt tightener when a threshold value is exceeded.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and to a switching device (4) and a measurement system (1). In the method according to the invention for determining time differences between measurement signals measured by at least two couple measurement devices (2, 3), a time basis signal is first generated for the measurement devices (2, 3). A common reference signal is further generated by a signal generator (5). The common reference signal is fed to measurement signal inputs (8, 9) of the coupled measuring devices (2, 3) via the switching device (4). A measurement signal is then fed to said measurement signal inputs (8, 9) of the coupled measuring devices (2, 3) and the time position of the measurement signals relative to the reference signal is determined in each of the coupled measuring devices (2, 3). The switching device (4), to this end, has a first measuring device connection (12) and a second measuring device connection (13) connected to the measurement signal inputs (8, 9) of the first measuring device (2) and the second measuring device (3). A reference signal is alternately fed via the measuring device connections (12, 13) of the switching device (4) to the first or the second measuring device (2, 3) by connecting the first measuring device connection (12) to the reference signal input (22) or a first measuring connection (14), or by connecting the second measuring device connection (13) to the reference signal input (22) or the second measuring connection (15).

摘要: Control element arrangement for controlling the steering angle of a motor vehicle is provided. The arrangement has a user-operable control element by whose operation a steering angle adjusting unit can be controlled for the steering angle adjustment of the vehicle wheels which is mechanically uncoupled from the control element. A reaction force mechanism is provided for such an arrangement which exercises a reaction force onto the control element which counteracts the control element operating force and which rises when the steering angle size increases as well as when the longitudinal and/or lateral movement of the vehicle increases.
