    摘要: In a plasma display panel, a space between a pair of sustain electrodes of a non-valid screen is different from a space between a pair of sustain electrodes of a valid screen. Accordingly, when discharges occur, impurities present inside the plasma display panel can be attached on the sustain electrodes of the non-valid screen, and thus, occurrence of an erroneous discharge at the valid screen can be prevented.

Embodiments of the invention can reduce system interference. A broadcasting receiver can include a plurality of tuners, and a controller for operating a tuner of a broadcasting signal not being displayed using an oscillation frequency that has reduced or avoids interference with another tuner of a currently selected and displayed broadcasting signal. For example, an interference controller can read stored PLL data with reference to a channel frequency of a currently selected and displayed broadcasting signal and write the read PLL data in other tuner(s) when only a broadcasting signal received by one of the tuners is currently selected and displayed.

    摘要: A plasma display panel and a method and apparatus for driving the same that are capable of preventing miss-writing and improving discharge and light-emission efficiencies. In the panel, an upper substrate and a lower substrate are opposed to each other with having a plurality of discharge cells therebetween. A first upper electrode group includes at least one electrode having a desired width and is formed on the upper substrate. A second upper electrode group includes at least one electrode having a different width from the first upper electrode group and is formed on the upper substrate in such a manner to be adjacent to the first upper electrode group. A data electrode is provided on the lower substrate in such a manner to be perpendicular to the first and second upper electrode group. In the method and apparatus, a short-path discharge occurs between two electrodes spaced at a small distance from each other, of electrodes included in the first and second upper electrode groups. A long-path discharge occurs between the two electrodes spaced at a larger distance than said distance between the electrodes causing the short-path discharge of said electrodes included in the first and second upper electrode groups.
