摘要： A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film of the invention includes: a polarizing film; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on the polarizing film, wherein the polarizing film includes a polarizer and a transparent protective film provided on only one side of the polarizer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is provided on a side of the polarizer where the transparent protective film is absent, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) and an alkali metal salt (B). The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with an antistatic function and satisfactory durability and whose optical properties are less likely to be degraded.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a polarizing plate having sufficient heat resistance, without deteriorating the dye-affinity and the like of the polarizing film and without the necessity of transferring or detaching the polarizing film. Provided is a method of manufacturing a polarizing plate (10) that includes a polyester resin base (11) and a polarizing film including a polyvinyl alcohol resin laminated on the polyester resin base. The method includes the steps of: stretching a laminate that includes a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer (12) laminated on the polyester resin base (11); dyeing the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer (12); and crystallizing the polyester resin base (11). The crystallization step is performed after the dyeing step.

The thin polarizing film has a thickness of 10 μm or less, a single axis transmittance of 42.0% or more, a polarization degree of 99.95% or more, and an iodine content of 17.6 grams per 400×700 square millimeters or less, which is measured by an ion chromatography method.

摘要： A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for use on an optical film, includes a (meth)acryl-based polymer obtained by copolymerization of 30 to 98.9% by weight of an alkyl(meth)acrylate, 1 to 50% by weight of an aromatic ring-containing polymerizable monomer, 0.1 to 20% by weight of a hydroxyl group-containing monomer, and 0 to 4% by weight of a carboxyl group-containing monomer, and a solvent. The (meth)acryl-based polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 300,000 to 1,200,000 as measured by gel permeation chromatography. The content of a solid including the (meth)acryl-based polymer is 20% by weight or more, and the content of the solvent is 80% by weight or less.

摘要： A method of producing a roll of an optical film laminate strip including a polarizing film includes the steps of: forming a continuous web of optical film laminate including a polarizing film which consists of a polyvinyl alcohol type resin layer and has a thickness of 10 μm or less, wherein the polarizing film is formed by performing an stretching sub-step of subjecting a laminate comprising a continuous web of thermoplastic resin substrate and a polyvinyl alcohol type resin layer formed on the substrate, to a uniaxial stretching in a lengthwise direction of the laminate based on 2-stage stretching consisting of preliminary in-air stretching and in-boric-acid-solution stretching; cutting the continuous web of optical film laminate along a direction parallel to the length direction to form at least one continuous web of laminate strip having a given width; and winding the continuous web of laminate strip having the given width into a roll.

摘要： Provided is a polarizing plate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer which is excellent in reliability of optical properties and durability of pressure-sensitive adhesion. The polarizing plate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprises a polarizing film and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided directly on at least one surface of the polarizing film. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprises a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a pressure-sensitive adhesive polymer, and an amount of an acid component in a total monomer component constituting the pressure-sensitive adhesive polymer is less than 8 wt %.
