摘要: A communication system including a plurality of audio/video devices including one or more audio signal source devices and image (video) signal source devices connected to a bus, each audio/video device of a common type having a common bus address. Each audio/video device is provided with a predetermined priority value which is stored in memory. Upon power up, every device transmits a communication frame including its own address and its priority value on the bus. When two or more common-type devices (i.e., having a common address) are connected to the bus, conflict is avoided by disabling the device or devices having lower priority values. That is, when each of the common-type device receives a communication frame having the common address, the device compares the transmitted priority value with its stored priority value. If the stored priority value is less than the received priority value, the device disables itself. Conversely, when the stored priority value is greater than the received priority value, the device remains active (survives), and responds to further communication frames having the common address.

摘要: A communication system for e.g. an automobile including a system control unit for activating a selected audio/video device (such as an AM/FM tuner or a navigation system) in response to a request signal transmitted on a bus from a command input terminal. The system control unit generates command signals necessary to activate the selected audio/video device in response to the request signal, including command signals to de-activate any currently-operating devices. Conversely, adjustment commands (such as volume change or channel change commands) are transmitted directly (that is, unchanged by the system control unit) from the command input terminal to the selected audio/video device on the first bus line. In addition, the audio/video devices transmit reset signals whenever power is shut-off and then restored. Each reset signal includes a transmission source address corresponding to the audio/video device which transmitted the signal. The system control unit compares these transmission source addresses with a stored address corresponding to the selected audio/video device, and transmits a command signal to restart the selected audio/video device. Further, when the system control unit is turned off and then restored, the system control unit transmits a reset command to all of the audio/video devices connected to the bus.

摘要: A tactile sensation is provided without exchanging a signal indicating a pressing load between a dual chip. A tactile sensation providing apparatus includes a touch sensor, a load detection unit for detecting a pressing load on the sensor, a tactile sensation providing unit for vibrating a face of the sensor, a tactile sensation provision control unit for controlling drive of the providing unit, and a main control unit for controlling an operation of the provision control unit based on an output of the sensor. The main control unit determines whether a predetermined area of the touch face is touched based on the output of the sensor and, when the area is touched, transmits a tactile sensation control instruction to the provision control unit. The provision control unit, upon receiving the instruction from the main control unit, controls drive of the providing unit based on the instruction and the pressing load.

摘要: An electronic device (1) prevents unintended operations when a contact position shifts, by having a display unit (20) that displays an object, a contact detection unit (10) that detects contact by a contacting body, a pressure detection unit (30) that detects pressure on the detection unit (10), and a control unit (60) that performs processing associated with the object displayed on the display unit (20) in accordance with a contact position of the contacting body in a region of the detection unit (10) corresponding to an receiving region of the object and with data based on pressure on the detection unit (10) acquired from the pressure detection unit (30), such that when the contact position of the contacting body changes as the data based on pressure increases, the control unit (60) changes the receiving region of the object in a direction of change of the contact position.

摘要: By dual chips exchanging a signal indicating a pressing load detected for providing the tactile sensation, application process based thereon is performed. A tactile sensation providing apparatus includes a touch sensor, a load detection unit for detecting the pressing load on the sensor for providing the sensation, a tactile sensation providing unit for vibrating a surface the sensor, a provision control unit for controlling drive of the providing unit, and a main control unit for controlling an application. The main control unit determines whether a predetermined area of the surface is touched based on an output of the sensor and, when touched, transmits an instruction to the provision control unit. The provision control unit, upon receiving the instruction from the main control unit, detects the pressing load and transmits the detected load to the main control unit. The main control unit, based on the load, performs the application process.

摘要: A piezoelectric device includes first and second piezoelectric resonators each including a piezoelectric thin film, an upper electrode provided on one main surface of the piezoelectric thin film, and a lower electrode provided on another main surface of the piezoelectric thin film. In the piezoelectric resonators, portions in which the upper and lower electrodes are superposed on each other with the piezoelectric thin film therebetween define piezoelectric vibrating portions that are acoustically isolated from a substrate. The first and second piezoelectric resonators are connected in series or parallel between an input terminal and an output terminal such that polarization directions of corresponding portions of the piezoelectric thin film are opposite to each other when seen from the input terminal. The first piezoelectric resonator and the second piezoelectric resonator are arranged to have different resonant frequencies of a transverse vibration mode.

摘要: An interrupt control apparatus and interrupt control method reduce situations in which the output of interrupt information is suspended and thus reduce stress caused in a user, without missing the appropriate output timing for interrupt information having a high priority level. A priority level setting unit raises the value of a priority level for an interrupt voice message during a period in which the interrupt voice message is being outputted, and a voice output control unit, when interrupts from two or more overlapping interrupt voice messages occurs, carries out control in accordance with priority levels set for each of the two or more interrupt voice messages so that the interrupt voice message having the higher priority level value is preferentially outputted.
