摘要: Bush 4 is fabricated by providing porous sintered metal layer 7 of copper on the surface side of back metal layer 5 of steel plate through copper plating layer 6 and coating the inside and the surface of porous sintered metal layer 7 with sliding material 8 by impregnation. Sliding material 8 comprises 1-25 vol.% of tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkylvinyl ether copolymer resin, 1-25 vol.% of at least one member selected from the group consisting of oxybenzoylpolyester resin and polyimide resin and 0.1-10 vol.% of hard particles having a Mohs hardness of 4 or more and average particle sizes of 5 &mgr;m or less such as Al2O3 and SiC, the balance being polytetrafluoroethylene resin (55 vol.% or more of the total siding material) as the main component. 0.5-25 vol.% of a solid lubricant such as graphite and MoS2 can be further contained in total together with the hard particles. The sliding material containing polytetrafluoroethylene resin as the main component has an improved fretting wear resistance particularly when used as a bearing material.

摘要: Bush 1 comprises back metal layer 2 made from a steel plate and porous sintered metal layer 4 made from copper, provided on the surface of back metal layer 2 through copper plating layer 3 and impregnated and coated with sliding material 5 within and on the surface of porous sintered metal layer 4, where sliding material 5 comprises PTFE as the main component (not less than 50 vol. % of the entire material), 3-40 vol. % of Bi particles and/or Bi alloy particles, 1-40 vol. % of injection moldable fluororesin such as PFA, etc., 0.1-20 vol. % of hard particles such a W, Al2O3, etc., and 0.1-20 vol. % of a solid lubricant such as graphite, etc. The sliding material based on PTFE as the main component is free from lead and can further improve the wear resistance, while maintaining good sliding characteristics.

摘要: Disclosed is a composite sliding material consisting of a back metal, a porous alloy layer which is formed on the surface of the back metal by sintering a copper alloy powder, and a resin layer which is formed so as to impregnate into and cover the porous alloy layer. The alloy layer consists of sintered copper alloy particles and has a thickness of superimposed plural particles. The copper alloy powder has an average particle size of 25 to 100 &mgr;m so that the composite sliding material has smallersliding-contact resistance.

摘要: A sliding bearing includes a bearing alloy layer having a sliding surface and a resin surface layer formed on the sliding surface of the bearing alloy layer and containing polybenzimidazole and a solid lubricant. In manufacturing the sliding bearing, a resin surface layer composition is applied to a roughened surface of a bearing alloy layer. The resin surface layer composition contains polybenzimidazole and a solid lubricant. The resin surface layer composition is heated so as to be hardened to be formed into a resin surface layer.

摘要: Disclosed is a sliding bearing in which a heat emission property of the sliding bearing is improved without affecting the original function of an overlay layer. An overlay layer is formed on a higher load-side bearing half, and extends circumferentially from a central portion thereof toward each of opposite ends thereof. Any overlay layer is not formed on a lower load-side bearing half, so that a bearing alloy remains exposed to the surface of this bearing half.

摘要: A multilayer sliding member is provided that contains no lead but has superior friction and abrasion properties under the conditions of high PV values and can be used suitably in dry lubrication environments. The multilayer sliding member includes: a porous metal layer that is formed on a back metal; and a sliding layer that is formed by impregnating and coating the porous metal layer, wherein the sliding layer includes 1 to 25% by volume of an oxybenzoyl polyester resin, 1 to 15% by volume of a phosphate, 1 to 20% by volume of barium sulfate, and polytetrafluoroethylene resin. The oxybenzoyl polyester resin (POB) improves the strength and abrasion resistance of the sliding material, and the synergistic effect of the phosphate and barium sulfate facilitates the transfer of PTFE to a counter material during sliding, so that the coefficient of friction can be decreased and the abrasion resistance can be improved.

摘要: In a sliding bearing in which a bearing metal layer is covered with a coating layer, the coating layer comprises a thermosetting resin as a base resin and soft metal particles dispersed in the base resin in an amount of 0.1 to 10% by volume based on the volume of the coating layer. The soft metal is harder than the base resin and has a higher thermal conductivity than the base resin, so that the wear resistance and anti-seizure property of the sliding bearing are improved. In particular, when the soft metal particles are of copper, silver, tin, zinc or the like, the soft metal particles react with the sulfur contained in a lubricating oil to form a thin metal sulfide film excellent in lubricity on the surface of the particles, whereby the coefficient of friction is made smaller.

摘要: A bearing structure with a low coefficient of friction and a distinguished wear resistance is obtained by coating a shaft with a resin composition comprising PAI and 5 to 50% by weight of PTFE, based on total resin composition and/or coating a bearing with a resin composition comprising PEEK and not more than 50% by weight of PTFE, based on total resin composition. By adding potassium titanate whiskers or a lead compound to the bearing resin composition, more improved coefficient of friction and wear resistance are obtained.
