摘要: The invention provides a control apparatus for an automatic transmission for carrying out neutral control and hill-hold control in a range that causes no slip of a hill-hold brake. The control apparatus has a judgment unit for determining, in accordance with a signal output by a gradient detector whether an uphill road is steep enough to cause a hill-hold brake to slip with the hill-hold brake engaged, a hydraulic pressure reducing device for reducing the hydraulic pressure applied to a hydraulic servo of a clutch in order to place the clutch in an all but released state, a hydraulic pressure applying device for applying a hydraulic pressure to a hydraulic servo of a brake in order to engage the brake, and an execution unit for permitting the hydraulic pressure reducing device to reduce the hydraulic pressure applied to the hydraulic servo and the hydraulic pressure applying device to apply a hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic servo only if a stop, or halted, state is detected by a stop-state detector and an uphill road is determined by the judgement unit not to be steep enough to cause the hill-hold brake to slip.

摘要: A system and method for controlling an automatic transmission in a vehicle drive train including an engine, the automatic transmission and a fluid coupling for transmitting the rotation of the engine to the transmission. The transmission includes a clutch applied when a forward running range is selected; a second one-way clutch which is applied, when the first clutch is applied, to establish a forward 1st speed; and a brake for locking the one-way clutch, when applied, to block the reverse rotation of the output shaft of the transmission. A first hydraulic servo receives a first oil pressure for applying the first clutch and a second hydraulic servo receives a second oil pressure for applying the brake. When a forward running range is selected, with the vehicle stopped, the engine idling and a foot brake engaged, the oil pressure of the first hydraulic servo is lowered from the oil pressure at the 1st speed whereas the oil pressure of the second hydraulic servo is raised to a modulated pressure. The modulated pressure is set to generate, against the reverse force on the vehicle facing up an incline, a resistance corresponding to the forward driving force generated when the engine is idling in 1st speed.

摘要: An automatic transmission control system providing a neutral control state in which there is no slipping engagement of a first clutch which is engaged upon selection of a forward range and, as a result, the vehicle is not subjected to idling vibration. The fuel consumption reducing effect of the neutral control state is maintained and there is no heating and consequent deterioration of the friction material of the clutch. The control system includes a hydraulic servo for operation of the clutch, an input side speed sensor for detecting the input side speed of a fluid power coupling device connecting the transmission to the output of an engine, an output side speed sensor for detecting the output side speed of the fluid power coupling device, and a controller. The controller includes differential speed calculator, differential speed change detector, a pressure increasing device for increasing the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic servo by a set pressure when the differential speed has not changed, and a pressure reducing device for reducing the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic servo by a set pressure when the differential speed has changed.

摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission, which receives the rotation of the engine through a fluid coupling, and which has a clutch applied when a forward running range is selected and released when a neutral range is selected and a range selecting mechanism for selecting a range. The control system includes a range detector for detecting the selected range, a hydraulic circuit and a control unit. The hydraulic circuit includes a hydraulic servo which is fed an oil pressure for applying the clutch and a manual valve movable between at least a forward range position for generating a forward range oil pressure and a neutral range position, by operation of the range selecting mechanism. A regulator valve regulates the forward range oil pressure to generate a regulated oil pressure. A solenoid valve is turned ON/OFF by the control unit to generate a signal oil pressure for switching a change-over valve between a first position feeding the forward range oil pressure to the hydraulic servo and a second position feeding the regulated oil pressure to the hydraulic servo. The control unit delays output of the signal solenoid valve, if a switching from the forward running range to the neutral range is detected by the range detector, so that the change-over valve remains in the second position until lapse of a set time period, and is then moved to a first position after the set time period has elapsed.

The automatic transmission control system further has a temperature sensor for detecting a temperature relating to the temperature of the engine and a decision device for determining a specific engine running status, in which the output of the engine drops, on the basis of an output signal coming from the temperature sensor. The running resistance comparator changes the reference value in accordance with the determination of the decision device.

The control system further comprises an engine output controller for reducing the output of the engine by a sub-throttle valve which acts independently of the driver at an overrun time of drive wheels; and an action status detector for detecting the action status of the sub-throttle valve. The running resistance estimator estimates the running resistance of the vehicle on the basis of the running status detector and the action status detector of the sub-throttle valve.

摘要: A shift control apparatus for an automatic transmission eliminates or reduces a sense of discomfort to the driver and other occupants during slip, while maintaining the necessary driving force. When slip is determined by detection of wheel speed, a slip signal is output. A controller which receives the slip signal outputs a maintaining signal for maintaining the gear stage which existed at the time the slip signal was received, until a predetermined period of time has passed. If the slip continues after the predetermined period of time, the controller outputs a shift signal to the automatic transmission to shift it to a predetermined gear stage, thus reducing driving force and preventing slip from continuing. If the slip stops within the predetermined period of time, the slip signal is canceled such that the current gear stage is maintained and no shift is executed.

摘要: The disclosed automatic transmission controller is capable of changing shift timing set for non-flat roads in correspondence to a judged driver type. The automatic transmission controller executes a driver type judging routine SUB2 to generate a judgment output related to the driver type by monitoring the driving of the vehicle and judges the driver type based on the judgment output. Shift timing is changed in running a non-flat road to correspond to the judged driver type. The shift timing in running the non-flat road may be changed by changing from an uphill slope mode 1 shift map to an uphill slope mode 2 shift map corresponding to the driver type or by increasing an upshift inhibiting section of a single map.

摘要: A control unit for an automatic transmission provides improved responsiveness to a speed reduction operation by the driver. The control unit includes a speed reduction requirement judging logic which judges whether or not there is a speed reduction requirement. An up-shift is inhibited and prevented when a judgement is made that there is a speed reduction requirement, based at least in part on release of the accelerator. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a vehicle from being accidentally accelerated by an up-shift operation and to smoothly perform a down-shift to effect an engine brake.
