    摘要: A vehicle securing system to prevent a motor vehicle having an automated transmission with a clutch between the transmission and the engine from rolling away after turning off the ignition. The automated transmission includes a plurality of gears and a control device that receives signals representative of the vehicle's operating parameters and that processes them as well as engages the driver-selected transmission gear. The control device is operative after ignition shutoff for a predetermined time period, or is operative after ignition shutoff by operation of a brake pedal, and effects the engagement of a selected gear when the vehicle is moving at a speed that is lower than a predetermined threshold speed value.

    摘要: A magnetic brake for a transmission lock includes a coil housing having a closed end, an open end, and a continuous side wall therebetween. A central post extends from the closed end of the housing and establishes an annular chamber between the central post and the side wall, and a coil surrounds the post. A frusto-conical brake plate seat circumscribes the open end of the housing. A brake plate has frusto-conical peripheral surface, and when the coil is energized, the surface engages the seat in an interference fit that is sufficiently tight to prevent the brake plate from being rotated relative to the housing. A spring washer is included to bias the brake plate from the locked position to the unlocked position.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a maneuvering assistance system for automotive vehicles and a method of maneuvering automotive vehicles which permit a simple and safe maneuvering of the automotive vehicle particularly during a parking procedure. The present invention is especially advantageous when the automotive vehicle needs to be maneuvered, for example, on a steep positive or negative gradient. According to the present invention, a preselected or adjustable maneuvering speed is chosen such that the driver is not surprised by unwanted reactions of the automotive vehicle. The present invention especially comprises an accelerator pedal sensor [(5)] for detecting an accelerator pedal position [(&agr;)] and a device for determining a speed [(vref)] of the vehicle. By using values pertaining to the accelerator pedal position [(&agr;)], to the accelerator pedal depression speed [({dot over (&agr;)})], and the vehicle speed [(vref)], a control unit [(4)] determines whether the vehicle is in a maneuvering or parking condition, in order to accordingly actuate an engine [(6)] or a brake control system [(3)] so that the vehicle [(1)] is moved at a desired maneuvering speed.

    摘要: A speed control system for controlling the ground speed or track speed of a particular work machine based upon the angle of inclination of the terrain upon which the work machine is operating, the present system including a first sensor for determining the angle of inclination of the terrain upon which the work machine is operating, a second sensor for determining the ground speed of the work machine, and an electronic controller coupled with the first and second sensors and with various speed retarding systems associated with the work machine for controlling the operation thereof so as to maintain the ground speed of the work machine below a predetermined maximum ground speed limit based upon the particular operating terrain angle of inclination. The controller will output a signal to one or more of the various ground speed retarding systems associated with the work machine when the controller receives a signal from the second sensor indicative of the ground speed of the work machine being equal to a predetermined ground speed. In certain situations, the controller may output a signal to the engine governor system to shutoff all fuel to the engine to further retard the ground speed of the machine. The controller may also output a signal to a monitoring or warning system so as to provide the machine operator with an overspeed warning signal in the operator compartment.

When there is a reversal of the direction of travel from at least one first direction into a second direction when there is still a positive vehicle velocity in the first direction, the control unit generates a braking torque which reduces the vehicle velocity, by means of an actuation unit and by means of the vehicle brake unit. The actual direction of travel of the motor vehicle is determined here by means of a sensor unit.
