A pneumatic tire for a two-wheeled vehicle, including a pair of sidewalls, a tread, a carcass, bead rings embedded in radially inner ends of the pair of sidewalls and stiffeners including tapered rubber fillers. According to the invention, the tire comprises a belt layer between the tread and the carcass. The belt layer consists of at least one ply whose width is at least 0.5 time of a width of the tread. Cords of the ply have a modulus of elasticity of at least 600 kg/mm.sup.2 and are arranged substantially in parallel with an equatorial plane of the tire.The tire according to the invention maintains a hoop effect of the belt layer to sufficiently exhibit characteristics as a radial tire and eliminates an extreme difference in bending rigidity in radial directions over from the tread to the sidewalls to obtain smooth turning of the two wheeled vehicle at a corner.

A sealant composition for the puncture-sealing tire and a method of producing the same are disclosed. This sealant composition is crosslinking-reaction type and comprises (A) at least one rubber, (B) a tackifier, (C) an acryloyl or methacryloyl group-containing polymerizable unsaturated compound, (D) a filler and (E) a photopolymerization initiator. In the production of the sealant composition, the component (A) is first reacted with the component (C) and then kneaded with the components (B), (D) and (E).

A pneumatic radial tire for passenger cars having a low rolling resistance and an excellent wet skid resistance is disclosed. The radial tire comprises a carcass of a radial construction toroidally extending between a pair of bead cores with the ends turned thereover, a tread portion arranged outside a crown portion of the carcass and having a two laminate structure of tread base rubber and tread cap rubber, and a reinforcing belt layer embedded in the tread base rubber and superimposed about the crown portion of the carcass. The tread base rubber and tread cap rubber have resiliences of not less than 65% and not more than 60%, respectively. The tread portion has a sectional ratio of a sectional area of the tread cap rubber occupied in the equatorial section of tire to a total sectional area of the tread portion of not less than 50% and a negative ratio of not more than 45%. The belt layer has a flatness of not more than 15%.

The tire building drum of the apparatus includes an axially elongated retainer sleeve which is interchangeably received on the drive shaft and rotatable with the drive shaft about the center axis of the drive shaft.
