As to a fluorine-containing phosphate used to impart flame retardancy to an electrolyte solution for a non-aqueous secondary battery, a fluorine-containing phosphate having high flame retardancy and providing high battery performance such as high-rate charge-discharge characteristics, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. Also provided are a non-aqueous electrolyte solution and a non-aqueous secondary battery each containing the fluorine-containing phosphate.Further a fluorine-containing phosphate having a high ability to dissolve an electrolyte and capable of providing the composition of a safer electrolyte solution is provided.The fluorine-containing phosphate for a non-aqueous electrolyte solution is represented by the general formula (1) (wherein R represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a fluorine-containing alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, A and B are different from each other and each represent a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, and n and m each independently represent an integer from 1 to 8) and contains fluorine atoms in a weight ratio of 30% or higher.

The present invention concerns a method for purifying/separating a 2-fluoro-3-oxoalkylcarboxylic acid ester from a reaction mixture resulting from the fluorination of a 3-oxoalkylcarboxylic acid ester. The method involves depleting the reaction mixture of a hydrogen fluoride byproduct; and subsequently, separating the 2-fluoro-3-oxoalkylcarboxylic acid ester by distillation. The 2-fluoro-3-oxoalkylcarboxylic acid ester obtained by the method of the invention is highly pure and is thus suitable for use as an intermediate for the production of pharmacological products or agricultural chemicals.

The invention has for its object to coat a single layer form of low-refractive organic thin-film layer on a cover glass of a solar battery to enhance the light-collection efficiency of a solar battery module by a simple method, thereby enhancing the ability of collect sunlight.The invention provides a coating layer for solar batteries which can be formed directly on a protective layer of a solar battery module and used in direct contact with the air. The fluorine-containing coating layer for solar batteries is characterized by having a fluorine content of 5% by weight or greater. This coating layer or protective layer is formed by polymerizing and curing a composition comprising a methacrylate compound and/or an acrylate compound containing a fluoroalkyl group and/or a fluorine-containing polymer dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent, a fluorine-free organic compound containing 1 to 5 acryloyl groups or methacryloyl groups, and a photo-polymerization initiator, optionally with the addition of fumed silica to it.
