Abstract: An electrocardiographic system includes first and second parts. The first part includes: a first housing having a first bottom layer that is elastic with an underside having an adhesive material; and a first set of electrodes located within the first housing, where the first set of electrodes includes at least one first electrode. The second part includes: a second housing having a second bottom layer with an underside having an adhesive material; a second set of electrodes located within the second housing, where the second set of electrodes includes at least one second electrode; a mechanical adaptor configured to be detachably connected to a electrocardiographic device that includes a processor and a wireless transmitter; and an electrical connector arranged to be detachably connected to the electrocardiographic device and to electrically couple the electrocardiographic device to conductors that convey signals from the first and second sets of electrodes.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing forming an enclosed chamber. The housing has a top portion and a bottom portion. One or more sensors is provided within the chamber and configured to interface with a user to generate physiological data associated with the user. A set of electrodes is provided on the bottom portion of the housing. Each electrode in the set of electrodes is a single member having a corresponding inner electrode portion within the chamber and an outer electrode portion outside the housing. A set of magnets is provided on the bottom portion of the housing.

Abstract: An ECG electrode includes a substrate and one or more holes. The substrate includes on one side an electrolyte gel for contacting a patients skin and an adhesive. The one or more holes perforate the substrate and the adhesive to increase the adhesion between the patients skin and the substrate. The one or more holes can have a circular shape, rectangular shape, crescent shape, polygonal shape, elliptical shape, diamond shape, star shape, or triangular shape. A method for manufacturing an ECG electrode includes assembling a substrate that includes on one side an electrolyte gel for contacting a patients skin and an adhesive and creating one or more holes in the substrate and the adhesive that increase the adhesion between the skin and the substrate. The one or more holes are created using a laser or a drill.

Abstract: A biomedical connector includes a housing defining an interior space and an opening dimensioned to receive an electrode at least partially into the interior space. A lever is movably attached to the housing and biased toward an engagement position for contacting the electrode when the electrode is received in the opening in the housing to retain the biomedical connector to the electrode. A dampener is disposed in the interior space of the housing and configured to engage the electrode when the electrode is received in the opening in the housing. The dampener is configured to limit movement of the biomedical connector relative to the electrode to reduce motion artifact in a biomedical signal received by the biomedical connector.

The mesh fabric may include a plurality of fibrous threads arranged as a grid in which a first subset of the plurality of threads align in a first direction and a second subset of the plurality of threads align in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The plurality of conductive contacts may be arranged in at least one row along a third direction that is oblique to the first direction and the second direction.
